What types of foods are relatively satiable but low in calories?

I'm trying to lose a few kilos (3, at most 4) and eating at 1500 calories a day. I tried diet coke but it doesn't help at all, makes me thirstier afterwards and I find that I crave sweets much more than before.

Water and vegetables.

Diet coke? Dude, that shit is some garbage. Drink water. Get used to drinking water. It's what your body really needs and what it really wants, you've just been encouraging maladaptive behavior by associating refreshment with sweetness instead of plain clear refreshing water.

Your craving for sweets is simply because you're body has been used to it so it expects more sugar than you are giving it so it reminds your executive faculties to eat more sugar by having those cravings.

Of course, as the representative of your executive faculties you know you don't need more sugar, so the solution is to ignore your cravings and your body will get used to the new status quo after a while. It's really very simple.

And as for low calorie foods, there's lots. Oatmeal, Crispy Rice Cakes, fruits, vegetables, etc. Fruits even have sugar in it so you can help satisfy your cravings. Just remember to be moderate.

First of all, stop drinking soda

>> No.6436827

One of your best bets will be to try and cut sodas out all together. I tried to lose some weight a few years back and by simply cutting out soda and sugared drinks I dropped nearly 25lbs (just over 11 kilos) in a month. That's with no major diet or activity changes. Then again, I was drinking a LOT of it. I'm a pretty big fan of pic related, it's low calorie, low glycemic, etc. but is partially sweetened with erythritol, so not everyone is a fan of the taste. Plus, they can get a little pricey depending on where you buy.

After dropping the sugar, I tried the high protein course. Small shakes, with snacks like nuts, mini cheeses, peanut butter, etc. I honestly never felt exceptionally hungry, and it really helped control my diet. I'd definitely suggest trying that for gradual weight loss.

No actually I never ate sweets, not even now, just diet coke. I've read on some BB forums that guys who cut drink a lot of it otherwise it would be more difficult. So I tried it and noticed I was starting to crave sugar like nothing before.

Forgot the pic. This stuff isn't too bad, but like I said, not everyone's cup of tea. More water would be ideal, but if you're accustomed to sweet drinks, sometimes you have to step down gradually.

I stopped now because it's BS. It doesn't even taste good afterwards, as I said it makes me thirsty.

You gotta get over that shit, Anon. It'll take about a month of not having any to get you past the cravings.

As for feeling full while eating a low calorie diet, beans and greens are your new best friends. Garlic, salt and olive oil makes them taste good.

Already eating them. I buy them frozen but now that you mentioned I'll start eating a LOT more.

You are right, green beans and peas are low in calories. Not sure how filling they are though.

100 gr has 31 calories

More vegetable fiber = more filling. My favorite combinations are:

Blackeye peas and Swiss chard (in oil, garlic and lemon juice)
White kidney beans and escarole/kale
Chickpeas and spinach
Lentils cooked with cubed carrots dressed with vinaigrette served on a bed of lettuce
