What have you been drinking recently?
Tried pic related a few nights ago, enjoyed it mightily. Uniquely earthy tasting IPA, deceptively high ABV.

Got a six pack of founders porter yesterday. I'm kind of tired of it but it's porter weather, my beer store has over 25 gorillion IPAs and like 3 other beers, this being one of them.

Ironically someone had stuffed a Centennial IPA in there so I ended up with that too.

I'm at the end of my current beer cycle and I'm going back to wine for a while when this six pack is gone.

So far I've had a Deschutes White IPA, Founders Black Rye, and Fat Heads Hop Stalker, even though it's like 4 months old, I forgot I had it. I still have a 4 month old Unsessionable IPA I forgot about, and a Dogfish Head Palo Santo.

I have a question, it's related to alcohol so it's related enough to the topic in this thread. Anyways, I'm not a big drinker as I'm only 18. I like to get drunk on the weekends though. My birthday is in two months and since I'm in Canada, I'll be legal at that point.

Until then, I want to get one of my classmates to buy me liquor. I'm more of a beer guy but beer isn't going to last me very long which is why I was to get a 750 ML of something and only drink it on friday and/or saturday, my hopes are to make it last at least the month of March. So basically my question is, which should I get: Jack Daniels Whiskey or Kraken rum? Which is better? I'll be mixing whatever I get with Cococola.

tl;dr: Which is better, Jack Daniels or Kraken rum

But its frowned upon to have a jack n coke at work sadly

>> No.6270161

everything by alaskan breweries is awesome, but i especially like their APA (american PA), their big mountain pale ale (their winter ale is great too)

the widmer brothers are also great (i love alchemy)

but my current favorite is leinenkugel's
at first i avoided leinenkugel's because i saw a fair amount of flavored beers, so i assumed it was blue moon-tier (i.e. shit).

but after having tried every leinenkugel's beer i could get my hands on (and a couple shandies)

i love every single one of them.

i normally hate flavored beers, but they have them dialed in.

the vanilla porter is so mild, it wasn't until my second beer that i really started tasting the vanilla.

i cannot recommend them highly enough, especially since their ostensibilities can be so offputting.

the only thing is... the shandies are pretty damn fruity. but they aren't terribly sweet, so if you are into ciders, they are pretty damn awesome too

Today I walk into Whole Foods looking to buy either a) a 6-pack of Jai Alai or b) a 4-pack of the Nugget Nectar cans. the Jai Alai is usually $10-11//six.
