Favorite wine?

No need to get specific with vintage unless you are a huge pretentious winesnob, in which case: enlighten us.

I like rieslings: they are easy to drink, fit most light meals, and are easy palatable by most guests that are not necessarily accustomed to wine. It is the perfect "dinner party with new people" wine. Gewürtztraminers follow second, simply because of the similarity.

As for reds, I prefer pinot: usually fruity, semi-spicy, and not too dry. For a dinner party, cab sauv is more appropriate in general for non-wine drinkers, but often lacks the robust options for pairing with dishes (this is my lack of cooking/pairing experience speaking).

What do you like? Do you buy only corked and stored sideways or do you prefer to slap a bag and hang it from a light fixture?

Also google is confirmed for wino alcohol based on my captcha.

Riesling and pinot noir are the two grapes that I have the most violent feelings about. Most of it is appalling trash, there's a precious little that is the best thing ever, but I don't want to share any of that with anyone else. Not because of the price, just because they don't deserve it.

Italian wines are for sharing. Nebbiolo, especially from the langhe, is perhaps the most sociable wine on earth.

I love most sangioveses that I've tried. So have guests.

The single digits in age and nowhere in the geographic region where this would've been on TV.

I personally am falling in love with a good glass of Chilean Carménère. Not a hugely popular grape type but it never seems to disappoint.

second that, in the UK you can find some pretty decent bottles at a pretty decent price!

Most French wine is shit (literally tastes like shit because they purposely poison their wine exports). German wine is shit, except some low alcohol blends like Rivaner and arguably Eis Wine.

I prefer Italian wine over all others.

My favorite is wine made in the Ripasso method:

Really good. Drinking a Northern Italiann cabernet sauvignon right now. Pretty good, and cheap as fuck (paid less than 4 euro for the bottle).

A decent Cab Sauv always does it for me.

Angus the Bull, specifically.

How did you get into the business? Did you just start out with hard liquor and beer and then branch out into wines? How did you get distribution contracts without a shitload of startup $$$?

Also, how frequently are you cuckolded by your significant other?

I'd say Mega Purple. People chaptalize more than you'd think. I'd rather have artificial ripeness, than artificial grapeness. It's pretty subjective though.

I started as a customer of the shop I currently manage, and after a few years, got to know the owner and manager, and walked in and said, hey guys, how about a job? I've been there 3 years now.

I started out with wine, but my second love is single malt scotch.

I've met lots of distribution contacts through my job, and consider many of our vendors my friends. I didn't put any startup $$$ in because I didn't start the company.

and lol at your last question ;-)
