>> No.6172091

Chipotle is one of the better choices for fast food. It amuses me to see sheltered wannabe hipsters sperging out about how it's not "real mexican". I've traveled to most of Mexico except BC Sur, NL, Tamaulipas, and Sinaloa, and it never would have occurred to me to complain that "chipotle isn't real mexican food". The connection is just too remote.

Let's be honest: Chipotle is the Subway of burritos. The food is cooked in the back of the store, brought on the line, and assembled by people who look absolutely miserable. The only difference is that Chipotle puts a lot more money into their image. They're not doing the local/organic thing because it's better food or healthier for their customers. If you think that, then you are laughably naive. They do it for the marketing. Period.

People line up outside the door to eat at this shit hole in my city. The customers are incredibly obnoxious, autistic suburbanites. I go next door to McDonald's, and spend half as much money and time. Tastes better too.

it really isnt. chiptole does not make very good burritos... places like poquito mas are much better chains and the 500 Mexican restaurants surrounding my city are much better as well. However if i go to the gym after working for 8 hours and dont want to go home and cook.. a bowl of rice beans veggies and chicken/barbacoa/carnitas for less than 10 dollars is really not a bad deal. sure the meat is not amazing but for the price i really cannot complain. Its not really the shittiest food you can get when you need the calories/protein and you dont want to spend any money or do any work and when you can pick it up on your way home.

They are putting the finishing touches on a new Chipotle here, right alongside a brand-new Panera Bread too, which I will never be going to.
