if you drink a whole bunch a lemon juice and vinegar the acidity might cook it in your stomach before you metabolize the germs and get salmonella. think ceviche, but in your bowels

Seriously, do you not deep fry at your parties? We only deep fry the finest meats available at the butcher. Such as chicken nuggets/tenders made by a fine artisanal brand called "Tyson" I believe.

Depends how much raw chicken you ate to really get you hardcore buttsick.

If it was just a little bit of pink, undercooked chicken you might get away with nothing more then the shits. Worse case scenario you get full blown food poisoning which can put you in the hospital if you drink fluids in between throwing up and shitting pale gravy poo.

Good luck and godspeed OP.

Nothing. Where I live chicken don't really have salmonella. I worked at a chicken farm one summer and a vet came over and did random checks on the very often. If even one chicken has salmonella, they are all killed and thrown into an incinerator.

I think you're confusing the pH of the stomach overall with that of the gastric juices. The Ka (acid dissociation constant/better measure of acid strength) of the HCl in the gastric juices is much higher than acetic acid and citric acid. Basically, you're advice on eating lemon juice and vinegar wont make a damn bit of difference. Learn how to chemistry.

Salmonella infection from eating raw chicken is highly unlikely. In Japan they have dishes featuring raw eggs and raw chicken and they're doing just fine.

If anyone has evidence otherwise pls post.

dude this thread is so full of shit and it shows the ignorance of most americans and why chicken here is so shit, you don't need to burn it all the way through to get the germs dead, I just like to sear it on both sides for like 2 1/2 minutes slightly pink inside, been doing it since i was 11 now 26 never had any stomach problems, but my friends like to joke that I am part caveman, cause nothing in terms of food seems to bother me IE i also accidentally eat stuff all the time that I find out later was supposed to be bad or was for the dog or something like that lol

In foreign countries (Japan is a good example) chicken isn't cooked nearly as thoroughly as it is in well...the US. Yakitori is only briefly cooked at times.
