ITT We post things that we like to eat uncooked.

Can be something conventional like vegetables or kind of weird.

For me it's pic related. Though you have to freeze it for a week to remove any pathogens.
I thaw it in whole milk for a few hours, slice it up, and then eat it. The milk helps eliminate the iron flavor that people are put off by.
The flavor is quite enjoyable, and the texture is smooth and easy to chew unlike other raw meats. I'd almost compare it to fish.

Tofu. Does that count? I get firm tofu and press it for a while so it drains, slice it and eat it.

Not sure if it'd count, seeing as how there's no such thing as uncooked tofu.

Still totally understand where you're coming from though, I like to eat it cold with sweet chili sauce.

How is raw onion unusual to eat?

So many people eat raw onion everyday, it is perfectly normal to eat raw onion and if you dislike like raw onion or just onion in general, you have something wrong with you.

I have a theory that people get careless with prepared food whereas with raw they're more careful with handling, storage, and quality.

Subs can get sketchy because deli meats are left out for hours, and if you order one the employees making the sandwiches can cross contaminate between meat/veggies, leaves a lot of room for bacteria to grow.

Steak, sometimes with lime and salt, sometimes with soy sauce, garlic and chile oil, tartare as well. I like to vary how I eat it. I Probably eat about a raw steak every month, give or take. I haven't tried raw liver yet, but I want to.

Other than that, I can't think of many other 'weird' things that I like to eat raw, other than chestnuts occasionally.

>> No.5765625

I'd eat any sort of raw meat a somewhat reputable restaurant would serve me, and I've been known to cut off a piece of steak seconds after it's been on a grill.

My thing is eating unheated foods. I never heat canned pasta like Chef Boyardee or Spaghettios. I also like my canned beans and chili cold too. Most soups or chowders, as long as they are at least room temperature, are pretty great this way too. Oh, and I don't unwrap tootsie rolls or starburst when I eat them. The wrapper makes the candy flavor more enjoyable by sort of breaking it up and reintroducing it as I'm chewing.
