I live in the same city as that guy, sometimes he sends this unfortunate woman to the store I work at to buy annoying things like 5, 6oz halibut fillets, all the same thickness, skin removed. Of course since I'm the guy who does the seafood I have to deal with her. I legitimately feel sorry for her because she has to work with that massive douche on a day to day basis.
Around here we call him "douche-fieri", not very creative but it fits well.

Not that the hate isn't completely deserved, but he has gone to legitimately good places before. One was a Hawaiian restaurant north of Seattle I used to live near. Went there plenty before his visit and it was great. Continued going after his visit and the only change to the place was a signed poster of him on the wall and the food was still great...so it's likely your taco place was just always shit. His presence at the very least doesn't make good places bad, thankfully.

Well...after he leaves, I mean. It must be awful to be there while he's on site. God knows I'd lose my appetite.
