I know it's a troll thread that gets posted over and over again. But I honestly agree with the sentiment.

Crisp cookies are genuinely master race and to be savored slowly as they melt in your mouth. Soft cookies are for morbidly obese americans that eat too fast to utilize their saliva and would probably choke to death on proper cookies.

20 years ago most cookies were crunchy.

seems like this thread is full of people who cant bake and dont know the intricacies of baking.

i can make soft chocolate chip cookies. i can make crunchy chocolate chip cookies. i can make crunchy on he outside gooey on the inside cookies.

people have their preferences. because of that when i make a large amount of cookies for people i often do a mix of soft ones and crunchy ones.

You can have both; a crunchy edge with a softer interior. That's great with milk.

I've never had a soft cookie I've really liked actually. I guess a mint milano one is pretty soft, but some crispy cookies just get me. Famous Amos style, very dried out and messy crumbly.

My favorite way is still cookie dough though, just cold from the fridge.

I don't think that starbucks tastes bad but I refuse to do business with them because I feel that their prices are just stupid and insulting.

I do enjoy both plain bread, toasted bread, and dark black toasted bread depending on what I want.

I do also enjoy soft, or hard, crispy etc, different textures of cookies and I sometimes enjoy slightly burned cookies too.

It all depends on what I want, but I feel I can really appreciate the different things about them.
