his standup was very funny, it's been many years since I've watched many of them but I remember laughing like hell at his most recent one, sometime around 2007 or 2008? He visited my close friend who died from cancer a little over a year ago 6 times, I met him 2 of those times and he was extremely nice, lighthearted, and genuine. He seemed like a genuinely good person. Suicide is a very selfish thing but I really can't look too negatively at him as a person or just shit on him, he truly came across as a cool fucking dude.

he suffered for a long time and was well known for some acts as such a young person, every opportunity he had from organizations such as the make a wish foundation he just used to donate to local places. He met many famous people many times, such as the dalai lama. I don't know why robin williams chose to visit him so many times but it was really touching. As much as I frequently have some sort of resentment for people who commit suicide I literally can't feel anything but gratitude towards him.
