Who here knows about the legendary Taco Man? He shows up at parties. You tell him you want tacos. Prepaid by host. Eat a dozen free tacos.

Not a catering taco man, but I worked with some taco men once. It was a burger place; when the house was slow and we were hungry, some of the cooks would take $20 out of the register and drive to a mexican grocery store nearby and bring back ingredients to make tacos on the burger grill.

Best tacos I have ever had.

In chicago we have the "tamale guy"

he goes around the bars on weekend nights with a cooler full of hot tamales, selling them. It's just one guy, but spend any decent amount of time on a NW side bar and you're likely to see him. He really makes the rounds

Mexican food in Chicago is overall better due to the lack of influence of bastardized versions of Mexican such as tex mex/cal mex/new mexican cuisine. Also Rick Bayless

Asar means to grill you faggot. Carne Asada means grilled meat. I don't care if the marinade is authentic or not, as long as it is grilled. Besides its objectively better when you cook meat under a wood fire grill over a flattop.
