I'm going to seattle next week and am looking for recommendations for some great food and beer in the city. not really interested in fine-dining level, more hole-in-the-wall, even divey establishments.

I'm especially looking for breweries/tasting rooms in the downtown area. I'll have pretty limited transportation so the more central it is, the better.

pic kind of related

You're headed to hipster ground zero. Best bring your fedora variety pack with you.

anyone have any experience with the following breweries?

fremont brewing, reuben's brews, rooftop brewing, stoup brewing are all close to where I was thinking

Not 21, no clue about breweries buuttt I know restaurants. I think you'd like 13 Coins. It's a neat old diner, a little bit upscale, but casual enough. I believe it's open 24 hours, too. Really, really good stuff. Quality ingredients.

Eat at Dick's when you want fastfood. It's kind of the local favorite for that.(Also there's shitty joke/photo opportunities).

Go to Pike Place and eat EVERYTHING.

Dick's Drive In
Tacos Chukis on Broadway
Hot Mama's Pizza is good drunken pizza

Paseo is perennially voted top 5 sandwich joints in the country, but I actually have never been there.

Little Uncle - Good hole in the wall Thai.

Be prepared for it to be quite hot, near 90 degrees this next week.

Also, Marijuana is now legal, so if they are in stock, you can buy a marijuana from the store and slam that shit.

The breweries in WA are great, Seattle however, has few actual breweries.

>limited transportation

Dude, the metro takes you EVERYWHERE.

Are you going with someone? If you are, go to Radiator Whiskey and order the roasted pig's head. I ordered it a few weeks ago and it was fucking delicious as hell. It's like 40 bucks so it's not that bad.

You have to call them up three days prior though.

The drinks there are amazing too.

You must live in some fuck small suburb town in the Midwest if you think Seattle is ground zero for hipsters.

going for a family reunion so I doubt my folks would be down for that sort of adventure... otherwise I would definitely make it happen.

staying on bainbridge island and will be doing day trips to seattle, which makes getting around a bit inconvenient. do you have any brewery recommendations that are accessible via metro from near pikes place?
