Hello /ck/. I just got a job where bringing lunches is going to save me a lot of money and a lot of anal health from not forcing myself to eat fast food.

So I am looking in to getting a good lunch setup. I am looking at these Mr. Bento lunchboxes, and they look like they work great. I also feel that they are vague looking enough so i don't look like im trying to be like glorious nippon. Does anyone have experience with these? Or have a recommendation for a setup they use for bringing lunch to work?

Im looking for a Bento Box, it cant be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii (cute)). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a Bento Box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)

I'm looking for a cute lunch box that allows you to hold the sausage of small octopus and my cup of green tea.

Bento is adorable, but it ends up impossible to pack a nice lunch that doesn't take forever. It's a small box, so you can't have things separate, like in bags, because you just won't fit much in there. Forget a sandwich and a banana. So you end up having to make rice and frying up all your foods so that they go with the rice, and it's just such a pain in the butt because it might end up leaking anyway.
Buy it if you want to have fun making lunch sometimes, but also get just a normal lunchbox for most nights.

This. If i actually wanted to make bento everyday i would probably cook little hamburger patties to use for like the next 3 days and have the rice cook in a programmable cooker. I wouldn't want to make all those little designs and crap. I would probably make a simple design with nori and the rice.

If you're not a Japanese housewife with a lot of spare time bento is pretty impratical

I'm almost certain that i've seen this before.
Is this some kind of autistic copypasta?

I am thinking that i can Just make appetizers during the week and then just always take a little of whatever is in the fridge from dinner, one of the appetizers and then filling the last two containers with something simple out of a bento cookbook or a website.

I buy my bento things from allthingsforsale, although you have to make sure you buy a box that is 750ml-1L in capacity to make sure it fits enough for an adult lunch. As long as you get a fairly plain and simple box, people will just see it as a general lunch box.
It's not really that hard to prepare a lunch; I generally make mine alongside when I make dinner since usually I pack leftovers. Otherwise the only really time-consuming thing is waiting for the food to cool somewhat before you can pack it away. When you make your lunch, just make sure that there aren't any spaces between your food and they won't really move. I keep 'snacking' tomatoes (they're smaller than cherry tomatoes and advertised as being for snacks in grocery stores) and broccoli on hand for this.
