here's an easy one OP

place pork loin in crock pot on medium heat
add 1 can of sauerkraut
add 3/4 dark brown sugar
add water to cover
cook for 6-8 hours (12if frozen)

remove pork and slice, place in large bowl
add favorite bbq sauce to taste and mix

Smoke pork until 190F. Shred and mix with vinegar mixed with a little ketchup and chili flakes.

How long does making the sauce take?

>> No.5559028

>>5559025
about 20-30 minutes, just so the tomatoes have time to simmer and fall apart. Of course the longer you let it simmer the thicker it will be, so depends on your preference.

What the FUCK is with all these people thinking pulled pork comes from a crockpot/oven and has fucking sweet tomato bbq sauce all over it? That's not pulled pork. Pulled pork is rubbed, smoked slow and low, hand pulled, and should only have vinegar sauce on it, if anything.

You are absolutely correct. Everything I've ever been told about pulled pork was a lie. I'll never eat pulled pork with anything other than a vinegar based sauce again.

I'm so glad there are authorities on subjects such as this on 4chan. I don't know how I've been able to live life to its fullest until I fell upon this cesspool.

Couldn't you do this in a crock pot? I hate the idea of having my oven on for so long in the summer, it will heat up the whole damn house.

This thred sux. Why do people always sperg out over pulled pork?
It's always good.
I've only ever had one pulled pork sandwich that I disliked, and it was cause they covered the meat in those fucking disgusting fried onion things.
Yeah, I guess when I ordered it plain that meant I wanted tasteless greasy burnt breadcrumbs and captain crunch in my mouth so that I can't taste the meat.

Actually, most apartments allow electric smokers, which is still way fucking better than using a goddamn crockpot. If I can have an electric smoker in my apartment in commiefornia, then surely people in other states can. I suppose it depends on whether you have a patio or not. Or you could always set up a smoker at a park that allows barbecuing. Personally, I'd never make pulled pork in a crockpot and try and pass it off as actual barbecue. At any rate, I guess your quality of pulled pork depends on what a lazy ass you are and how low your standards are.
