for a very simple gravy (which that gravy appears to be) heat two tablespoons of butter in a skillet, add a tablespoon of flower and stir into a paste, keep stirring constantly until the paste is a nutty brown (not too dark), add about 2 cups of good beef stock and simmer (stirring) until the mixture has thickened a bit (remove from the heat before it reaches the desired consistency as it will thicken more as it cools down), finally salt and pepper to taste and serve

No idea how much calories that kebabroll had but it's quite big one, weights atleast 1kilo in total and most people there cant eat it all in one sitting. (i can, though last bites are pushing it and i dont definitely eat one every day)

I'm the kind of fatty who cant eat several small meals during the day because if i buy food for supper etc i will just eat it all in one go because i lack self-control so i'l just eat one bigger meal everyday and depending on the size of the meal some snack (chocolate bar/pastry/candy/fruits/veggies) after it.

Most people are horrible at correctly estimating weights and volumes. Unless OP is rigorously using a scale or other measuring device, or OP has a lot of experience with weights and measures (such as using scales every day for his/her job), their estimates as to how much they are eating is probably incorrect.

I used to be mcfat few years ago since i only drank sodas/sugary juices and ate like shit. Now i've slowly managed to lose about 20kilos though i should still lose atleast 10kg more to be on my "optimum" weight.
I know BMI is partially bullshit as in it doesnt factor in stuff like muscle mass etc but it still says im "noticeably overweight" which is kind of true, i should try cutting kebab/pizzas/burgers but damn if i dont love those so my weight loss is slow as fuck though atleast im still losing it.
I think i also got slow metabolism since i only eat once a day, despite exercising quite a lot sometimes i still dont get hungry easily so fasting a day every once in a while isnt really about getting hungry but more about resisting urges.
>>5559228
>Most people are horrible at correctly estimating weights and volumes.
I've funnily noticed this, just yesterday when i was at the local fair in the city i bought some toffee candies that were 3,99euros/100grams. I only bought for about 150g's worth but some fat chick near me didnt even notice until she was at the cashier that she had almost 1kg worth of candy and it costed her a fucking lot.

Working in food industry has really taught me to tell how much stuff weights just by holding it in hand which im quite thankful, my wallet thanks me too.

i still remember the first time me and a friend made pulled pork. with zero smoking experience and 3kg of pork in a simple weber grill it was 16 nightmarish hours of watching temperatures and entertaining impatient guests.
after that it gets easier as you realize theres not that much you can do wrong.
and the finished product was so worth it, best thing you can do with pork, by far.

it was about $1.25 for the noodles and beer, i also bought a bunch of fruit (apples and asian pears) but ill probobly save those for breakfast. the noodles are very rich with a heavy peanut-y sauce, it fills you up at first but a couple hours later you will be cruising for something a little more substantial.

>>5562392
depends on the region you are in, the more tropical areas produce alot more rice so they use rice as a base for alot of their meals, while northern areas grow alot more grains for noodles. Im in a big city so we can whatever we want, it just depends on which shop you go to. Re Gan Mian (Hot and Dry Noodles) is my city's specialty so it's easily available at pretty much any restaurant or small street vendor, which are EVERYWHERE.

also yes there are loads of McDonalds here, and unlike most other countries McDonalds and other fast food places deliver. delivery food costs alot more (closer to $5-6 US) but is a godsend at when im at work and dont have time to go out and buy something from the food vendors down the street. supermarkets like Carrefour and Wal Mart are becoming increasingly common, but the food selection is still very chinese.

and no i dont cook since my kitchen is a mess with a bit of a bug problem, though my roommate's Chinese girlfriend cooks some stuff up for us once in a while. there are enough cheap street vendors, convenience stores and restaraunts nearby that i dont need to cook much for myself anymore.

Made some great fucking mashed potatoes. Didn't even skin the potatoes, mashed them up with 3/4 of a stick of butter (left some water in there for consistency), loaded down with black pepper, a dash of salt and season all, some garlic and mixed cheddar right into it.

Cut up the Whataburger sausage and rolled them up into tiny meatballs. Fried them in butter.

So fucking great together. Might put a couple dollops of Whataburger spicy ketchup on it, since it makes everything better.

Also, scotch and water on the rocks (Teacher's Highland Cream, don't yell at me for the water and ice).

Not him, but usually it's much, much milder than more common cheeses.

I guess it depends heavily on which specific goat cheese you're referring to, but often it's less solid and contributes more texture than outright flavor.

the slimy black thing is what they call "tree ear", its a kind of fungus with a weird rubbery texture and no taste. the pink balls taste like immitation crab meat, i dont know whats actually in there. the rolled up tissue thing in the middle is a kind of tofu, and the round puck on the right is some sort of compressed fish patty with soem vegi's mixed in.

the way Mala Tong works is that you walk into a shop, grab a little basket and tongs and pick out whatever ingredients you want from a big freezer, noodles you want them and some weird crispy things in a big bag. then you give it to the shopkeep who throws it all in a pot of boiling water for a couple minutes, then throws it all in a paper bowl with some spices.

The pernil is unbelievably good, so cheers to the anon who floated my the recipe, you really knew what was up--however, I entrusted my flatmates to purchasing the cuban bread whilst I was at work and they bought the wrong bread. I went off to the only cuban market/store in town and they were closed. The meat motorcade was diverted onto a highway of shitty french bread. Thankfully I got a loaf of challah bread so I can make some decent midnight sandwiches in tandem.

Thanks again to everyone who gave their two cents. The final verdict is all praise--truly delicious through and through. Only held back by the bread, which is my own fault.

Its not edible at all. I'm sure there are a ton of fatties across the country that would love this, but I have to try not to gag to chew and swallow it. Not sure what I'm going to do next. I have another keto recipe that I could throw together, but I don't want to risk fucking it up again. I think I'll just down a bottle of caffeine free diet coke and hope the bad taste goes away.

A large chicken breast, a heaped two cups of vegetables, small amount of spaghetti sauce. For flavour. and the sauce itself is 4 servings of veg per jar, i think it's a third to a quarter of a jar in there so at least another serving of vegetables on top of what else is in there counts as.

Meat and cheese failure guy here. Tried another keto meal from memory. No idea if this is considered good from a culinary standpoint, but it tasted pretty great.

Its basically a mushroom stuffed with half of a tomato slice and half-assedly chopped garlic topped with a pretty thick slice of mozzarella and a little sage I found in the back of my pantry. I'll probably make this again a few times next week since I have a giant block of mozzarella and nothing else to use it on.

in my opinion the onions look raw (also don't like the way they're presented) and the chicken looks like it would be flavorless with the filling being overly salty.
I kinda fucks with the pasta but tbh the pesto doesn't look very fresh. Did you make it?

Also this is all just an opinion which I got from simply looking at the picture so I could be wrong.

The onions were baked with the chicken so they softened up pretty well. I'm open to other presentations and preparation for them. The filling wasn't bad, but the chicken around it could use work. I just hit it with some salt/pepper/oregano/basil. And no, the pesto was premade, took a shortcut there. Any advice is gladly accepted. Definitely a kitchen white belt here.

my main advice would be that homemade pesto is 9288127681761252 times better than premade. good pesto is always the star of any dish it's in.

the onion looks a bit gauche but honestly i like plain white onions and it would probably have a fairly appealing texture.

not sure about that cheese though. what kind wa sit?

I attempted tomato sauce for the first time, and made shells to go with it, which actually turned out pretty good. It still tastes like it's missing something though, almost like a deeper underlying flavor I'm missing. So I guess I'll try again after I go to the store this weekend.
