These fucking things are the bane of my existence. Why does something like this even exist? What's wrong with just having your kid ride on the bottom of a normal shopping cart like we all did in the 80s? That was fun. Why do you need all this excess useless plastic glued to the front?

These damn carts take up twice as much space in an already too narrow aisle, and god help you if you get trapped between two of them and you have a cart of your own. Or even if you don't you still have to squeeze by and end up knocking things off the shelves. I always see parents take these stupid carts and the kids almost never ride in them anyway, they're always walking along side it, like even they know it's stupid and are too embarrassed to be caught dead in one. They make my supermarket experience hell every single time.

I can't remember the last time I saw a kid at the grocery store. currently paying a premium hipster tax to live in an inner city hovel where everyone around me is age 20-40 and doesn't have kids. I don't see many fatasses either, it's pretty nice.

I've only ever seen these at one supermarket I worked for, Kroger. On my last day, all of these carts were on the parking lot, spread out. Because they're so fucking big and awkward, they literally had to be pushed in one at a time (normal carts you could stack 8-14).

I can't remember what happened, but I had slightly hurt myself and these fucking carts were the reason, so I went into a blind rage and disassembled it, throwing the parts behind the building. It was my last day working there anyway.

Seeing the broken, stressed-out fuckers carting their screeching kids around the store in these things make me thank every God ever named that both my wife and I both got fixed for good measure. Very rarely do you see happy little families in public anymore. FUCK all that shit.

Also, whoever invented those miniature shopping carts for kids to push around and run into shelves and strangers' legs, needs to be shot.

Christ, I work at Trader Joe's and we have those. Every time I see a mom with her two fucking kids each pushing one if those around, I want to scream.

My son loves these carts, but they're honestly more trouble than they're worth. Once he sees that a store has one, it's either that cart or nothing. I don't have endless time to do shit, and sometimes he needs to come with me when I need to shop. At least he's somewhat entertained, because shopping is pretty boring for a kid.

I wish people wouldn't bring their shitty kids grocery shopping at all until they've learned how to comport themselves in public. A place where people go to buy things that they put in their mouths is no place for children at all.

Christ, this so much. A few months ago I was going to buy mushrooms at the store, and for whatever idiotic reason the store had them on the very lowest produce shelf possible. Some little kid walked up to them and started touching every single one, playing with them, and was about to throw them around before her grandma came and pulled her away. I paid for the rest of my food and bought mushrooms at a different store on the way home.

you must be going to the wrong parts, the city is 600 square miles not counting suburbs. all I see are 20-30 something year old childless white folk and a few friendly Mexican families. I see blacks on occasion but they aren't niggers so I don't mind them, most are very nice.

have you been to houston lately? the outer parts are getting worse if anything, the inner loop is exploding with fancy things and white people. everytime I walk out the door some dilapidated thing has been bulldozed and something I cant afford is being built where last weeks demolition project took place. Everyone turned white too, when I moved here this was the barrio. not complaining because I'm white too, but the rent increases for shit places does suck.

austin is still a good place, it's gotten sort of douchey though, like california douchey. no hate and I'd happily live there, just an observation. from my shitty observation it seems austin has gotten more like california was, houston has gotten more like austin used to be, and dallas is still up there doing something or other.
