So what would you bring to a /ck/ potluck? I suggest going with a theme of main dish, dessert, and vegetable. Oh and salty snack of some kind, if you really want to.

I'd likely make and bring seafood mac, white chocolate brownies, and grilled corn. Maybe tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa too.

I would bring all the delicious Russian food I grew up on that absolutely disgusts Americans. (I'm assuming it will be in America because I wouldn't fly out of country for a /ck/ potluck lel)

> dolomas (stuffed grape leaves)
> golubtsi (stuffed cabbage leaves)
> chicken stomachs in white onion sauce
> beef tongue 3 kinds- pickled, boiled, and in a salad
> shuba (herring under a fur coat) (pic related)
> holdetz (meat jello)
> sprats
> vodka
> good pickles
> red caviar (salmon fish eggs)

If i do this, it would polarize the room instantly - those retards saying "oh god thats gross! is that green thing even food?" and normal people who enjoy good food. Bitches love my grape leaves.

well, you should. I've brought all this stuff to work, and most Americans are eating frozen Burgers they bought at costco and microwave it at work... a frozen (already cooked) cheeseburger. And they look at this fresh homecooking like "TONGUE?? STOMACHS? omg... how can you eat that? That's disgusting"

dude they were making fun of me for eating a Lox Bagel.... like "wow bro, onions creem chease and fish? that sounds disgusting."

There was a few of the girls that do their own weird shit... so they did especially like the herring and some of the other stuff.. but they're still grossed out at tongue and stomachs, hearts, etc.

fuck if i know... i think vinegar... but there's also like... onions in there... not really sure. It's not one of my favorite ways to do tongue. I like the warm one. I can ask my mom as well though lol.

Alright, well I got half of it from my mom but my grandma's not picking up for the sauce. It's some kind of onion and sour cream sauce, but you can just make a standard bechemel sauce. I'll update you when i get the sour cream sauce specifics.

But essentially
> boil/braise the chicken stomachs for a long time (until they are tender)
> add onions, salt, pepper, spices...
> take the stomachs out of the liquid and put onto a pan with oil... and fry them up real quick with onions, to give the stomachs a sear.
> then you can make the white sauce and mix the fried stomachs in there... garnish with a little chives or green onions.

Hey, parsi bro... I finally got through to my grandma. Here is the REAL recipe.

Pupochki - Chicken gizzards in white onion sauce

> Wash chicken gizzards (stomachs) thoroughly, make sure they're clean.
> Fry them on a pan until browned (a few minutes)
> put the gizzards in an empty pot, and fill with water until barely covering them.
> add salt, pepper, and optional spices
> braise for 40 minutes to 1 hour! Or until the gizzards are tender!

> back in the frying pan, sautee some onions until transluscent
> add to the braising gizzards towards the end

> in a cup or bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons or Flour, with a half a cup of room temperature water
> (using hot water will cause the flour to bunch up into balls)
> mix until smooth

> add the sauteed onions, flour water mixture, some minced garlic, and aeromatic greens to the pot
> also add two tablespoons of sour cream to the pot
> (optional:) You can add some shredded cheese to make the sauce a little thicker and cheesier.
> cook for 5-10 minutes, not long. Just until the sauce comes all together and it looks ready.

This recipe also works with chicken hearts, turkey or duck hearts or stomachs, etc.

I never, ever bring anything to pot lucks that aren't directly from a supermarket (bag and receipt included).

Why?

Wife of a co-worker routinely insists that other people's lack of sanitary conditions sickens her children. Fucking vocal about it too, and she's not the only one in the militant mommie militia.

There's nothing wrong with the food, there's something wrong with her. We are in a mean-spirited day and age now, /ck/, and I'll keep my culinary power level to myself.

As an alternative to buying the family size of whatever Stouffer's side you feel like, you could make something that advertises that it has
