I started a book a few years ago where the entire premise was me mixing things with Dr. Pepper to see how they all tasted. I'll have to see if I can find it.

Whiskey (rye in particular) was pretty good. I think peppermint schnapps and Dr. Pepper somehow got a licorice taste.

Morgan double spiced and Dr. Pepper is pretty good, although that double spiced was way overpriced.

Dr. Pepper and soy milk is good too, it tastes like a chocolatey root beer float with some curdled texture if you let it sit.

I'd have to say coke mixes with whiskey far better than it does with dr pepper.. The whiskey seems to really water down the DP quickly, whereas when mixed with coke, the drink seems to still keep some of that carbonated acidic flavor that most soda-drinkers enjoy.. Coke with whiskey still tastes quite a bit like coke.. Dp with whiskey tastes like a new drink altogether.. Watery and bitter

Dr. Pepper mixes best with rum, I've found. Decent rootbeers compliment whiskey far better than cola, btw.

I didn't like Whiskey and Dr.P at all, the hints of whiskey youd normally get in a whiskey-coke tasted off/weird and the Dr.P turned all watery.

Dr.P and Vodka or rum is nice, but a spiced rum like Captain Morgan combined with Dr.P is delicious. Whenever I'm low on cash but still want to enjoy some I use Captain Cook from the Lidl, about 1/3rd the price and almost the same taste.
