A couple years ago, they built a new shopping center in my area and an Indian couple from my neighborhood opened an Indian restaurant together.

They did okay for a while, but they didn't get much foot traffic because they were too close to suburbia. So they decide to close up shop, renovate, and reopen as a Mexican place. Did I mention that neither of them had any restaurant experience between them & that they had to borrow money from their family to do this shit? Their idea to go from Indian to Mexican food came from the owner's wife, who wanted something "as popular as Chipotle".

I waited tables at that unorganized shithole for almost two months, and probably had a total of 10 tables within that timeframe. I quit because the owner kept calling me in the middle of class to ask me why I couldn't skip my lectures to go to work.

Ironically, after they finally went out of business, they were bought out by a popular Indian restaurant chain.
