Haven't had it very long. Pretty happy with it. Someone here suggested it to me (maybe you!).

My first all clad will arrive tomorrow. My calaphon set has bitten the dust, finally. Kinda stoked to us it. Haven't used all clad since ..some nice restaurant that dumped a bunch of money into their kitchen 12 years ago.

Tried that once. Banana split. No bueno.
It sat in my amazon shopping cart for two years before I summoned up the courage to spend $250 on a fucking rice cooker. Was probably drunk when I pulled the trigger.

i tried a couple of different configurations when I bought the table. I went with that because I host teaching and experimental food nights with my kitchen staff and that affords us the most room while leaving unimpeded access to equipment. and thank you.

NP, i figured id just be you and who uses 2 sides of a table at once you know but that setup is def best for more than 1 person. i dont know the dimensions on it but it looks just like a standard stainless prep table which are pretty large big enough for four stations if you have to.

Definitely the best alternative to an island, and it's mobile!

I can't decide if I'd want the island to have a gas rand and get a double oven or Stuff an oven under the counter top.

What, did Germany get their act together? Can you provide an example? All I see is German brands cranking out imitation Japanese blades complete with "oriental" typeface in a desperate move to remain relevant.

It's basically like how in the 80s Detroit started selling miniature shitboxes that shook themselves apart when you drove over 30 mph because they couldn't grasp the concept of a well engineered car that didn't weigh 8 tons and handle like a river barge.

Good luck, Germany.

Wustof and Henkles have been putting out quality knives for some time now. Japanese makes quality products too, but I prefer western style knives, and the best of those come from Germany in my opinion. Either way you go, you generally get what you pay for, though.

>> No.5352137

Also, Detroit holding onto the carburetor with an iron lung into the late 80s would have made for a much better analogy.
