>Customer somehow gets our HR number and calls complaining there aren't enough spaces in the parking lot
>We explain that because we share a parking lot with four other stores in the strip mall there isn't much we can do
>Customer demands our employees walk/take public transportation to work so he can have a parking spot
>Comments that the service was excellent

Different job but equally weird
>Customer leaves a complaint that there was no one to help her find a product
>We offer her a coupon for the next time she comes in and explain she can always ask the cashier to page someone
>Comes in a week later and I meet her at the door asking if she needs help finding anything
>"No, I'm fine"
>Five minutes later she interrupts me helping a kid and his mother who had a lot of questions
>"Where is item X?"

Pasta is a set of varieties of noodles. This is analogous to how a square is a sort of rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square.

Moroever, Wikipedia has actually come a fairly long way from its disreputable past. Many wikipedia pages are of a much higher quality than one could locate in proper encyclopedias.

I still wouldn't use it as a citation. But the nice thing about it is that it can point me towards useful citations.

For that matter, it is typically unprofessional to cite from encyclopedias for official documents. For example, encyclopedias would be inadequate citations for legal documents to be put before a judge. But the fact is that these encyclopedias cannot be modified by just everyone, and that is not the reason why they often make poor sources for citations.

If you work at a small mid-low priced tier restaurant or chain (applebee's, chili's, etc) you will be paid poorly. If you work at a fine restaurant you will be paid and tipped well. I do hate the tipping system in the US, but it does compensate staff at higher end restaurants more because the menu items are priced higher.

People can get absolutely wrecked from marijuana. Leaving kids in cars, passing out. Leaving a pot of oil on the stove, passing out. I've personally seen both.
I'm all for legalization, since prohibition is shit, but I'm also for people taking responsibility for their idiocy.
I lost damned near everything that could be damaged by smoke due to a kid getting stoned, getting the munchies, putting oil on for french fries, then passing out. I had to jump out of a second story window into a tree, as well as my mother who happened to be visiting, who also had the misfortune of having a branch penetrating and breaking her heel. Entire apartment building had to be gutted. This was in Seattle, and when I mentioned to my neighbors that I was considering suing to help cover my costs, they all acted as though that would make me scum.
If people want to take the risk of ingesting drugs, they should deal with the results. If it's a contributing factor to a detrimental situation, particularly involving others, the legal consequences ought to take it more into account. Given the attitudes of the majority of asshats in places that at the forefront of legalization, it's no wonder why the stigma persists.
