GS cookies have sucked hard, to the point of being fucking inedible, for at least thirty years and maybe longer.

One day two late-teenage Girl Scouts came to my door and offered me cookies. I seriously had to bite my tongue in order to not ask them if they'd rather make a hundred dollars apiece.

My mom is a scout leader and this time of year we have fucking stacks of boxes of cookies. Im talking about thousands of these. I like the thin mints the peanut butter patties and the occasional Caramel delights.

I know my troop didn't, for years we spent our meetings eating stale doughnuts and getting together in a leaky old church basement. Then again this was 15 years ago so I don't know if it's gotten any better since then.

Part of the proceeds do go to the troop, not to the individual scouts. That money goes into the troop's coffer. I know my Boy Scout troop used all the money it raised to buy new stoves, cookware, gas money for camping trips, and reduced prices for summer camp.
