The beer itself is fairly popular, I'd get it after work sometimes, it was part of our Pilot Launch. I'm not sure if they'll continue production or not, I imagine (as well as hope) that they do. All of this happened fairly recently. Currently it's only on tap, not bottled and sold.

Yeah there's actually a point where you tongue physically can't taste beyond a certain level of IBUs anyway, so a majority of these "mega hopped" beers (which most of the time have to utilize hop extract to actually get to the level of IBUs that they claim to have) you cant actually taste the difference between once they pass that point. I forget the exact number, but a lot of these beers are just posting massive hoppy-based extreme-IBU beers as a manner of a dick-waving contest.

The human palate can't taste bitterness over 100 IBUs anyway and there are plenty of amazing beers that clear way over 100. Often times the hops are there in large quantities late boil and just happen to push it "over the top". 4x the amount of hops doesn't mean much when we have no clue about utilization, boil length, and hops used.

In any case, while everyone seems to be overreacting, that's still a shit name for a beer. There are tons of DIPAs out there with fine names, anything could have worked, even a fucking hop pun. You people need to be more creative.
