Well, with heartsonfire ripping in peace, it will be difficult to get something going.

I thought of hosting myself (as have probably some other /ck/ frequent users) but you need sincere commitment, a calm temper, organisatory skilly and a truckload of pacience... I lack more than half of this list.

I would do it, but I would need to figure out how to deal with the point system/ranking..

If my work/health situation stabilizes and I have time to devote to it I might do something about it somewhere in spring. (taking myself out of the competition, of course)

I'm just wondering how much interest there would be.

I don't mind hosting a short test round, but I don't have the energy to set-up the whole shebang right now.

Maybe I will, I don't know, but I can't foot the bill for prizes. There won't be none this round, unless people send money for it, but because of the nature of the game, I don't want to get sued for running an illegal gambling site.

Dedication isn't really the issue, I am here most days anyways. It's really the logistics/scoring/tally part and getting things working smoothly on that side.

I am not crazy with the voting form, I preferred the points system. which is fine if you want to use the google docs poll thingy, but the contestants would miss out on feedback and explanation of why the judges voted how they did so that the contestants can work on their weaknesses. The form is not going to allow for that. Also the "imagined ______" part irks me as well. I like the originality, creativity, subjective appeal, presentation, part of the voting process from before.
