ITT: /ck/ shares what they got for Christmas.

I got a Kitchenaid stand mixer, some muffin pans, and a subscription to Saveur.

I'm the happiest motherfucker alive.

Kitchenaid mixer, some more silpat mats, new spatulas, an assortment of more cooking oils

and so many fucking fancy chocolates. I have enough chocolates to last me, at one a day after dinner, til next year and then some.

My family knows me so well.

A bottle of cheap booze, a couple of ballpoint pens and my girlfriend made me some cookies.

>> No.5048886

Didn't expect anything this year, so I'm extremely thankful: See's bordeaux and lollipops, salted caramel chai tea, Bravely Default collectors edition, and a chromecast / blu-ray player to share with someone.

Merry Christmas /ck/, eat lots of delicious food.

>All these people with Kitchenaid mixers
Lucky. So lucky. I'm still working with my kenwood stand mixer that's been in my family for years and years. My parents got a thermomix. Pretty jelly of that too since I can't annex it from them. I got my girlfriend a variable temperature smart kettle for her tea.

I decided to forgo presents this year and get new windows installed in my house instead, if that counts.

You got shit that says your family knows about your fandoms and doesn't hate you for it, GO YOU!

Supplemental:

My mom sent me a gift hamper from williams sonoma with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and 4 dried herbs. I looked it up and it was $100. Took it back to the store for a store credit and had to ship it back to their internet distribution center (where it came from) and they'll ship me a "store credit" of sorts for their online store.

I plan on buying a Shun 9" bread knife.

Most of my Christmas was /k/ related, but my sister got me a 3 month Besh Box subscription. It stinks of Foodie, but Besh is a pretty cool guy and the stuff in the first box seems pretty quality. All in all a pretty good day.

Pic of the contents. They really aren't worth the money, but that's why I like it as a present. It's something I can appreciate, even though I would never buy it myself. The next two themes are big game, and mardi gras, I'm excited to get those.

>> No.5049033

>>5049029
Wow, sorry that pic looks like shit. It has a pound of pecans, a vanilla bean, a kitchen towel, a pie crust cutter, a board scraper, a Christmas ornament, and some recipe cards.

>> No.5049039

I got a set of knives, they're not super expensive but they're an absolutely massive upgrade over what I've been using for the last six months, really looking forward to cooking with them. I also got a bottle of Talisker 10, and £40 in Tesco gift vouchers which I'll probably also use to buy whisky with.

>last time visiting my folks my mother was talking about getting a new cast iron pan
>tell her why her old, pre-WWII set handed down from her mother is superior to new stuff
>six months later she gets me a new cast iron pan because "I seemed so interested in them"
Suppose it'll be good for doing roasts and the like, and it's not like I'm expecting a Christmas windfall, just... a bit of an odd one.
