I bet somewhere this is someone who actually makes girl shaped breads. I've seen crocodile and other animal breads. They're pretty cool.

He means there was literally no point in him posting his own face. The people who get upset over the word 'literally' are worse than the people who abuse it.

>He means there was literally no point in him posting his own face.
The word 'literally' served no purpose in that post besides (a failed attempt at) adding gravitas. The people who use 'literally' for any use besides distinguishing from figurative phrasing (doesn't include hyperbole), are using it wrong.
>The people who get upset over the word 'literally' are worse than the people who abuse it.
Words have purpose and meaning, and 9/10 times that it's used, there are several other words that work better. People use 'literally' because they think it will make what they're saying more engaging to the listener/reader, not because it serves any purpose. I'm bummed about the loss of a word, and I'm going to whine about it whenever I have the opportunity.

While I agree that the word is used incorrectly in many cases, this entire post is complete bullshit. You're like that one guy in a video game who insults people for using proper grammar.

What?
>insults
When did I insult anybody?
>for using proper grammar.
I'm rebuking somebody for improper use of vocabulary, not grammar.

>this entire post is complete bullshit.
I don't understand, and I'm really trying to.

>using it wrong
You mean "wrongly." "Wrong" is an adjective. Adjectives modify nouns. "Using" is the word being modified here. "Using" is a verb in the progressive tense (also a gerund). As "wrong" means to modify "using," it must be in adverb form. The adverb of "wrong" is "wrongly."
>using it wrongly.
Admittedly, that sounds a bit odd to the ear, no? Use "incorrectly," instead. It gives you the double benefits of being grammatically correct as well as the opportunity to look like even more a pompous blowhard than you already do.
>using it incorrectly
See? That just screams pompous blowhard! No need to thank me. I just wanted you to achieve your full potential as a pedant.

I don't give a shit about grammar or how I come off. I just get a bug up my ass about words being over used or used improperly. I'm sure you want to equivocate my misuse of adj wrong to many people's misuse of literally, but I don't care. Grammar is for assholes, vocabulary and root word understanding is for the gods.

Look Greg, you really should leave the house. Your neckbeard and fanboy ponytail are getting out of hand. You're wasting time arguing the proper use of "literally" (which literally was literally used properly). It's silly. You're silly. And you need to see some sunlight every now and again.

I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.

Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake.
