Hey /ck/ it is my 21st birthday. I just got myself a 6 pack tonight of Milk Stout, Nitro, Goose Island IPA, Goose Island Honker's Ale, a Hoegarden, and a Liberty Ale cause I got work in the morning.

I have only tried 3 of these before, trying some new stuff.

What is your top 6 beers, /ck/?

>> No.4897895

You did good for a newly legal. I was drinking Lone Star and Busch back then. Not sure about those Goose Islands, but they're aight. Enjoy anon. Try some Dogfish Head stuff, especially the 90 min IPA.

And pretty much any Flemish Sour Ale or Trappist style brew.

I don't really have a list, but the most recent beer I really enjoyed was a doppelbock - Ayinger Celebrator. Salvator is supposed to be excellent and supposedly more original, but there are many varieties out there.

>and PBR for parties when quality doesnt matter but quantity does.
No offense meant in this, but I don't get that mindset. Why would quality ever not matter? I don't see the fun in just drinking a ton of piss-tasting beer just to get drunk when I could either drink good stuff or use harder liquor to get drunk faster,

I can get King Goblin, Old Thumper and Minerva in my city as well, so I can enjoy them more often.

These guys will lead you in the right direction, OP. In addition to Joker, Ace blackberry cider is GODLY! I would also recommend Great Lakes Brewery (especially their IPA, porter, and lager) as well as Bell's. Literally anything by Bell's is bottled sex, but especially two-hearted ale and their cherry stout. Happy drinking!
