Quick you golden tongued ha/ck/s!
I am going to dinner tomorrow and need to bring dessert. What should I bring?
>dinner for two
>the lady is a bit of a gourmet, her tastes run into italian foods
>should be a bit fancey or at least not cheap since she is providing the food, beer, etc
So what bring?

skill level: low
probably buying it but if it's simple I'm making it

Tiramisu isn't too hard to do, fits the italian theme and is tasty.

I'm thinking of making green tea icecream but it's an aquired taste

>just mix green tea powder into quality vanilla icecream
>the secret is to let the icecream get soft but not too soft and then mix the powder, wip it fluffy. Refridgerate quickly after

worst case I bring green icecream that she finds too bitter

open to suggestions

thing is, since she likes italian food she has probably had tiramisu countless times while I have not so I'll just fuck up the taste

or maybe I'm overthinking this

ok... hum... if you have time on your hand you can make crême brûlée... it's fancy, not hard to do, just fucking long..

Otherwise my go-to desert is poached pears... super tasty, light (a good point if there are other... plans, for the evening)... Bring some good chocolate to melt over them and you're set... I'll post the recipe I use if you want.

I would suggest replacing the ice cream with a little mascarpone cheese.
