Don't snack, like ever

Cut back on carbs

Do literally any kind of exercising (lifting really does help)

Eat more veggies and more lean meats

Fruit has lots of sugar, but also lots of vitamins and shit

Eat balanced meals instead of doing any kind of shitty "dieting" 3 times a day

Drink only water, loose leaf teas, and sometimes coffee. DO NOT FUCKING DRINK SODA OR FRUIT JUICE (unless you make it yourself, then it's better, but can still be sugary) OR OTHER SHIT LIKE THAT (monster, starbucks lattes/etc, etc)

Look up things with healthy fats (nuts for example)

Red meat is good on occasion, but try to eat less of it

Try not to eat things you know will have lots of fats in them, like burgers and what have you

Cook your own food, literally stop going to all kinds of fast food restaurants

if you feel hungry, drink some water, or work out

Cook meals that take a while to prepare

Eat smaller portions

Use a calorie counter (myfitnesspal.com)

That should help you get started

It's a privilege, one that can be revoked when their quiet enjoyment of their privileges infringes upon my quiet enjoyment of mine IE when their mashed potato thighs overflow from their seat into mine and the one on their opposite side as well, effectively taking up a seat and a half to two seats each snarling hambeast. i guess most of that is sound, though you still have traces of traditional dieting advice stuck in there

calorie excess doesnt directly make one fat, consuming fat doesn't make one fat, insulin spikes makes one fat

focusing on eating less or smaller portions is misguided, especially if you're going to exercise in any capacity.

if you cut simple carbs out of your diet, you may even have trouble getting enough calories per day. use a calorie counter to make sure you get enough, not to keep you from eating too much

220 kg is pretty extreme, I recommend rigid calorie counting, and eating at 2500 calories or fewer every day, coupled with daily exercise (try http://www.c25k.com/, although talk to your doctor first).
Drink plenty of water, water makes you feel fuller while not providing any calories. Also keeps you hydrated, which is good for many other reasons.
Results are not immediate, and it's going to hurt a bit, and you're going to feel embarrassed as fuck being that fat and running, but you'll have to get over that.
Oh, and try and eat less red meat, dairy, and carbs, and more vegetables and lean meat, as well.

You are not 100% wrong but you are mostly wrong. Excess energetic food absorbed by the body directly make you fat, yes. Calories in, calories out, twinkie diet yadda yadda yadda and all that crap
>consuming fat doesn't make one fat
No it won't if you keep below your maintenance. Fat however after being digested goes to the blood stream and if you have enough (part of the fat is structurally important) it will go to fat storing cells.
> insulin spikes makes one fat

I hope youre a tall guy, anon, because as you know thats alot of weight. I feel really bad for you man. Im trying to get in shape and Im only about 10 lbs overweight, and Im still finding it difficult just to stop eating shitty food, learning about nutrition, what your body needs, macros, etc.

All I can tell you is that you have to come up with your own plan for a diet, thats what Im doing literally making my own notebook to cover it. Figure out a specific diet to eat to achieve your goal of 30-40 lbs weight loss, the same foods, every day, and follow it, every day. Keep in mind all this going to be harder for you and take a much longer time because of how over weight you are, but you can do it, you have to find the motivation somehow, or you will not long for this earth.

Combined with the diet, you need an exercise plan and again, do it every day, for a long time. The good thing is the pounds are going to melt off you with just a little exercise. You can do it man. Get motivated, get some people to help you, professional and friends alike, and remember, food is a goddamn drug. Too many people in this country are a slave to it, but realize that once you kick all the bad sugar, fat, junk food, added foods, fast food - you'll start crazing what your body really needs: nutrition.

You can do this man.

Cut out sodas, drink water at first when you are hungry. That will cut out a lot of empty calories right off the bat, plus hydrate you more, which is generally helpful.

Find something else you like to do for when you get that bored/depressed feeling that makes you want to eat. That's been one of my own biggest obstacles to weight loss.

Also add some kind of small exercise routine you can do every single day, and build on to it as you can. Even if it's just 10 push ups a day.

I used to be extremely overweight and lost it in a year. You're not disabled, you're fat. You need to learn how to eat less and start doing light exercises, so you don't strain yourself. It's very hard at first, but don't go overboard and set unreachable goals or you'll be discouraged. Make a goal of 2 - 5 kg at first. You'll get a great boost of confidence boost. Op dont grief,
You've passed the first step in losing weight, and that is admitting to it.

Start off by cutting sugars and carbs. This means NO candy at all, especially milk chocolate. Dark chocolate is good sparingly, the more cocao you can stomach the better, but the stuff is bitter so watch out. Also avoid fast food like its the devil. Splurging once in a while is ok (once a month)

Fiber will be you best friend, it will dramatically help your digestive system, and you've feel better. Celery is a great veggie to snack on, along with carrots and bell peppers. A bit of light dressing will help it go down if you're not thrilled by veggies. (celery actually takes more calories to break down than you body gets out of it.)

Protien will also be your friend, make sure there lean sources that you're getting it from. Bacon does not count.

Cut fats while you're at it, drink 1% milk and avoid anything with heavy cream in it. Cheese is ok occasionally but dont add any cream in your coffee (covers the taste of the coffee anyways) No cream cheese either.

The most important part is to be active in some fucking way, no excuses op, just 30 minutes a day can do alot. Exercise means that your heart rate is elevated.

3. eat high fibre foods and lean proteins to stay full longer. and avoid sugar and salt. (the silent killers)
4. tell your friends and family about your plans to lose weight and get fit. you will need their support.

You're like 220kg so drink lots of fuckin water, 2L an hour at least

You'll be up and down all day pissin out water

And maybe you should try walking around in circles or something in your house

First of all: Are you taking any medication?
Second: Set a goal in your life
Third: Believe that the goal requires you to lose that weight
Fourth: Eat properly.

I was over 120kg in 2011. Now I'm at 66-68. It was all because of a fucking girl I never even talked to after all. Not being able to stand up and talk to her didn't make me unhappy, because I was able to set a goal for myself, even if there was no goal after all, and it helped me lose weight. I lived a lie in my head, but it made me happy and healthy, and that's what matters in the end.

So I say, set a temporal goal for yourself. Feel motivated for something, no matter how stupid you think (or others think) it is.

Maybe their leptin/ghrelin hormones are out of whack, depression, horrible habits learned as a child, binge eating disorder, eating and food is the only thing that brings joy to their life since their life is so empty otherwise, a way of punishing themselves because they feel like they don't deserve to be healthy and happy, etc. It isn't always 'oh imma eat dis food cuz I can.'

Cut down on portions little by little. Serve yourself what you'd usually eat, and then throw out a fourth of that, to start. You shouldn't feel that hungry afterwards and your stomach will begin to adjust to the new portions. If you get hunger pains, that is good it means your stomach's shrinking so you'll feel fuller on less food.

If you get hungry, drink some coffee. This supresses appetite tenfold, boosts metabolism, and will remove water weight. Just keep hydrated.

Eat fruits and veggies with loads of fiber. Apples, I find, are the best for this.

Eat a potato with your meals. The density and heaviness of it will help you feel full.

Eat more protein, studies suggest that protein leaves you feeling more satisfied (that study also suggested that fat didn't contribute much to satiety).

Throw away all of the foods you're tempted to eat more than you should of.

COUNT YOUR GODDAMN CALORIES.

And drink more tea. Stevia in it is okay if you're having sugar cravings.

I was 250lbs at one time and lost 95lbs in a year. It all happened unintentionally, I just noticed clothes not fitting. I was eating same shitfood the whole time: for lunch, I got Arbys, TB, or McD--whatever I could get for about $3. For dinner it was either ham sammiches w/mayo, cheese, tomato, or taco bell: 3 different tacos or burritos, or McDs: always big mac, lg fry, and a sundae. Once a week I would get BW3 or chili dogs from DQ.

The trick to it was that I had a physical job doing house painting and drywall. 35-45hrs a week of lifting, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing ladders, and pushing an 18" 10lb paint roller up and down the walls of an entire house. Gave me all the stretching and exercise I could stand. No need to waste a bunch of time exercising after work, and even tho I ate shit every meal, I was in tip-top shape, strong as fuck, and the best was flexibility. I could go from sitting indian style on the floor to a standing position without using only one leg.

Just an idea... Look around at the fatties and the skinnies and see what they do all day. It makes a big difference, and when you're getting paid for it, it takes away the sting. Plus after a few months all the aches and pains of being out of shape go away.

OP here I counted Saturday as my cheat day.
So I went to the buffet, I had 7 plates of fried chicken covered in Béchamel sauce, I washed this down with about two dozen colas. They had these fried potatoes there, I don't really know what they are, but they had called them Bourbon Street potatoes. They had some sort of spice mixture green bell pepper, onion, and what I think is celery and garlic. Fried crispy topped off with more Béchamel sauce. I shamelessly took an entire tray of this. It is my cheat day you know.
Dessert was by far the best part. I grabbed three plates from the supper section, mashed at least one of every dessert, then covered it in ice cream and a new item rum sauce. When I go back Sunday I will have to eat around 7 plates of salad to make up for this one though. I don't regret a thing. Thank you for empowering me /ck/. As for protein, you don't need a lot of that. Protein is so damn overblown because of the war between the high carb vs high fat people where protein is just a sideline macro, but it's not something you need to consciously strive to get as any diet is going to give you enough protein, and getting "a whole bunch of protein" does absolutely nothing. It's ridiculous how you keep trying to find excuses for your being fat. Just man up and admit you did this to yourself.

If you don't want to exercise, just eat less. Weight loss is 80% diet, anyway. Exercise can come later, when you're down to a more normal weight.

Calculate your TDEE, subtract between 500 calories from that. This is how many calories you eat, every day. Count every single calorie you eat (and drink), and never exceed this limit. You'll lose weight. That's all there is to it.

Good luck. I hope you can get over this infantile reaction of trying to blame anything and everything except the root cause.
