Yes, as 'in from the orient'.

I really love thai curry myself. Braised pork belly is awesome. Those southeast asian dishes that use a whole grilled fish are always good. A little salad of sorts with coconut, citrus, various vegetables, hot peppers, and cilantro. Mmmmm.

Also, Kimchi > Sauerkraut. The korean stews oriented around it just complete my life.

The word oriental means eastern, which was used in a time when Europe was the main superpower of the world. Oriental is offensive because it categorizes people based on their relation to the Brits who colonized them.

The orient invokes images of a colorful and exotic world awaiting on the horizon, rather than a bunch of impoverished thin-skinned pedophiles trying to kill their neighboring countries due to unending hatred. I was trying to be nice, but if you feel bad about being the loser or just another liberal rather ironically tying themselves to someone else's cross, DO FUCK OFF.

Liberal can be an insult in America. Many of us are aware of the difference between political liberals and social versus financial liberals, but it's becoming synonymous with the wealthy riding high horses trying to champion the poor or oppressed, while hiding an eager dagger not well hidden behind their back.

Perhaps you're mistaking me for someone else in the thread? I've only made one post thus far: 4759239--and this one of course.

I simply saw the question posed and I posted the obvious answer: it's childish to be offended by someone using a word that you don't like. It's likewise childish to consider words offensive. They're just words. They aren't anything to get upset over.

I'm feeling a little like fuck everyone today. If you could be more specific, I could possibly provide dishes and recipes. Asia is a big place, apparently with a lot of people treating them like fucking toddlers. But yeah, if there's something you like be specific and maybe I can help even through this assmad horseshit.

>> No.4759280 [DELETED]

You know what I find most hilarious about people who still use the word "oriental"? They lack the mental fitness and power of speech to ever pronounce the T. It's always pronounced "oriennal", like, "hey, you one a them oriennals?"

There truly is no hope for them, beyond the eventual promise of the grave, and that their children might possess a little more savvy than they.

>>4759308
You realize that, by accusing him of ad hominem, you're basically stating that his calling you a mental midget is correct, right? You do realize that ad hominem only applies when the person raises a legitimate, correct, but misleading point about another person in order to discredit their argument, right?
