I was making eggs in the morning. I cracked the first one into a bowl and the egg white had a weird colour, a little brownish. I threw it out and cracked 3 more. These ones looked fine, just had a slight smell to them.

Anyways, the expiry date on the carton says July 15th. I had a bit of an off-taste in my mouth since breakfast but haven't been feeling any ill effects otherwise. I'm going to be fine, right?

>pic not mine but kinda what the first egg I cracked looked like.

Go to the hospital, OP.

you are fine OP, that off taste is in your head. Eggs are rotten or not, and if so you know it right away.

I get double yolks every day from my chickens. Usually 1-2 eggs will have double yolks. They taste the same. I even have some in my incubator....not sure how that will turn out.

I would have to agree with this persons statement. I have never been sick from eggs to my knowledge. You will know if you find a rotten egg.... believe me you will know.

more brown in an egg, more protein.

go outside and try out your new superpowers.

It's probably oxidized blood. You're fine.

it's just blood in the egg, it won't hurt you, but it'll taste funky. if you keep getting eggs with blood in them, the chickens that are laying them have health issues, that shouldn't happen a lot.
