I'm trying to give myself a strict diet of 1300-1500 calories per day, but I'm not sure what I should be eating to keep myself full so I don't feel like my stomach is turning inside out.

Any meal ideas? Low calorie, filling stuff that I can fill my face with all day is nice.

Vegetables

>> No.4626064

non starchy veggies and chicken, use no oil and lots of spices.
also whats your current weight and height?

>> No.4626065

Nothing will keep you full at that caloric intake.

Just drink a lot of liquids (water, unsweetened/no-cal sweetened tea, black coffee, milk, etc) to lessen it's effects and identify the feeling of hunger as a good thing.

not true, I myself am eating in that range and am not hungry all the time. Lots of protien and fat will keep you fuller longer, any grains should be low GI if you are still going to eat them.

- Vegetables
- Fruits
- Wholegrains
- Eat a relatively large breakfast
- Snack on seeds/vegetables/fruits throughout the day
- Drink green tea
- Drink lots of water

Veggies with lots a fiber (broccoli is a good one)
And a variety will make you crave food less.

Also, avoid juice. I used to drink that while dieting, assuming that "hey, fruits good for you!"
Naw. Almost as bad as soda in sugar and caloric content. Drink lots of water. Tea if you don't like water.

OP, check to see that this is allowed in most American districts there are laws requiring you to eat at least 125% or your reccomended caloric intake

Same here bro, 1500 a day for me and that includes alcohol. I eat decent amounts of vegetables but no fruits. The thing is I'm a working man and plain veggies leave me unfulfilled. What keeps me going is chicken breasts and small amounts of cheese. A large chicken breast will run you about 250 calories and it satisfies the hunger for sure. And its beyond versatile, you can pretty much season it with anything and make it taste like anything. And the cheese, maybe I'm doing it wrong but it keeps me from losing my mind when dieting. I'd rather slowly nibble an oz or two of cheese than eat an entire bowl of pineapple. What you wanna do is avoid all breads and pastas. Thats really what makes most people fat, half of their calories are comming from breads and carbs alone. A little is OK sometimes, but get used to cutting that shit out.

I forgot to mention eggs. The egg thread reminded me. Low calorie and filling, make some omelletes. Go easy on the cheese, don't use butter, and probably don't use meat.

>> No.4626632

I'm sorry to say OP, but unless you've got the mentality where you enjoy feeling hungry for the sake of progress, it's not gonna be possible to feel satiated when you're under your recommended calorie intake for a stretch of time. Black coffee helps suppress hunger, and drinking a lot of calorie-free fluids generally keeps one occupied at least. Apart from that, lean protein and vegetables and fruit that are easy to snack on like tomatoes, radishes and apples are good.

This right here.
>>4626076
No, it is true. No adequately proportioned male at any weight is going to be full on a 1.3/1.5k kcal per day diet regardless of how much bullshit about fat and protein inducing satiety you read on the internet. It just doesn't happen. It's hard enough to keep hunger at bay on a 2k kcal per day diet, going below that is already a deficit for 99% of men and it's fucking agony.

After a couple weeks consuming ~1200 Calories a day, I got used to the amount of food. I think it really helps if you can find an activity/hobby to keep you preoccupied so you're not constantly stuffing your face (I had just started a new job when I started the 1200 Cal/day diet).

For weight maintenance, I'm usually at ~1600-1800 calories, but I take the summer to lose weight.

In the past month I lost 20lbs just sticking to around 2000 cals (not including beer), no extra exercise.
I ate a ton of spinach, cucumbers, celery, arugula, tinned tuna, Peperidge farm as a good bread thats 45 cals a slice. I would still east a lb of some whitefish or chicken too.
I never relised how much I ate until I started keeping track.

Well eating this low amount of food slows down your metabolism, ,much better to instead have a normal sized diet with lots of exercise, this increases natural processes within the cardiovascular and endocrine system that makes weight easier to gain/lose anyway.

>> No.4626956

Drink lots of water OP. It will fill your stomach plus hydration is always a positive. Also 0 calories.

Obviously, but I'm guessing OP is obese and the prospect of exercise is too daunting or embarrassing.

And quit spouting the "starvation mode" broscience. An obese person eating 1500 kilocalories a day isn't going to magically gain weight or stay the same weight.

I am omnivore, and like meat, but and a big but, reduce the reliance on meats. and processed grains. drop 100 lbs and donn't do it like i did, the hard way. but honestly, pick up a sack of feed or cement, carry it around, all day every day for a week. then drop it You will see how much better you feel. you did not gain it in a day, and you sure ain't gonna lose it in two weeks. slow and steady wins the race. bacon is nice and doughnuts. do you really gotta have two, much less three. not saying count calories, but be aware. you will never be 18 again, who wants to, but ease off on the meat or high dense fatty foods and carbs unless swimming or scaling a mountain peak. use some common sense,. pt barnum said " a sucker born every minute".. like some not so so smart dogs, I think we are chasing out tails.

So you ate at a 2500 caloric deficit a day?
3500 calorie deficit for 1 pound of fat.
70,000 calorie deficit total needed for 20 pounds.
17,500 deficit a week.
2500 a day.

odds are you dont need to be on that much of a deficit. should be fine with about 1600 minimum. whats your usual intake, and your height/weight?
but eating such little food messes with your metabolism and will make you physically exhausted constanly.
just go on a run/workout in the morning. cause what your doing is not healty and youre probably gonna cave in
