Brrrrrrrrrreakfast time!

Oh IHOP, how I love thee.

>> No.4610759

Damn, looks like IHOP is doing it right for a chain restaurant. We don't have it in Canada, but there's plenty of awesome local breakfast joints. I'd get the same breaky as you (eggs look perfect for me) except I'd get homefries with onions instead, maybe an order of tomatoes instead of sausage.

>> No.4610761

>>4610759

The toast and the dessert are utterly superfluous, though. What's on the main plate is more than a meal in itself.

>> No.4610762

>>4610761
Yeah I definitely wouldn't be ordering a crepe (I think that's what that is) if I ordered the full breakfast. Would have just gotten two slices of whole wheat.

>> No.4610764

that looks about what I eat in a day

I don't want to make a massive generalisation, but are portions in the US usually that big?

>> No.4610769

>>4610764

In US restaurants, absolutely. One annoying thing is that a "side" of something tends to be a meal's worth of that thing. Like one time I ordered a side of corned beef hash at the diner down the street from me and they came back with this huge honking plate of it.

But yeah. Restaurant portions are just out of control here. Easiest way to get around that is just to control yourself and take some home to be eaten the next day, and don't gobble up all the steak fries they give you, etc. stuff like that

>eat in a day
what the fuck anon. There is about 1000 calories there so you still need 1200 at evening.

I think you should try to get a better diet.

Are you kidding me? There's probably 500 calories in those sausages alone. Everything there, the eggs, sausages, hash browns, bacon, toast, butter, jelly, crepe, christ that all has to be over 2000. And who knows what the beverage was, a big glass of orange juice is itself a few hundred

Seconded. Considering all the grease that was used. Two slices of toast -360 calories not including spread. That meal with the pancakes is easily over 2000 calories. I wouldn't eat the rest of the day. That's a pretty intense breaky OP. don't let /fit/ get wind that you ate that haha.

I generally don't eat out much at all - I'd rather spend the money improving my own cooking skills. Last time was at a Michelin restaurant though but that's not the point. I don't hate the food at McDonald's for example.

The food at IHOP is of the lowest quality I have encountered anywhere in the world. I'm not saying I wouldn't eat it (I have) and I'm hating on IHOP (I'm not) - just that their food quality is insanely low.

Cheap chain restaurants generally give you enough food to take home and finish later, or appeal to the proletariat 300 lb masses (pun intended).

If you go to a refined establishment the servings generally reflect what you'd expect them to.

Go to a Shoney's or my fav Golden Corral. It's Amerifat central cuz the food is breddy gud. An all you can eat breakfast buffet is too tempting for me. You are a freak of nature buddy. Someone of your size should be able to maintain a normal bodyweight by consuming around 2200-2500 calories a day. You must be an olympic sprinter or swimmer to have to eat that much to maintain or you have hella worms in your intestines.

Most people are in a median between you and that other (probably trolling) guy ,I'd say- I don't think anyone without a medical condition could eat less than 2000 calories a day and still need to exercise to maintain their weight.

Besides, I can't imagine anyone making a habit of eating as much as these types of restaurants serve regularly. It's like the thanksgiving dinner of breakfasts, you'd bust your guts trying to eat like that frequently.
