Samuel Smith is an English brewery of fine repute that has been around for years. I highly recommend this beer. Its a bit heavy for summer, but delicious nonetheless. Best if drank late in the evening around a fire in winter.

My favorite summer beer at the moment is Asahi Super Dry.

Finally got my hands on some of this (about half a year ago now I guess) thanks to a friend of mine. It was very good, just like they say, but I wish I had more to do blind taste tests against St. Bernardus Abt 12 and maybe another similar beer. I'd say they are very similar in how good I thought they were. Wouldn't bet my life on liking either one more than the other without trying them side by side.

I have some XII, Rochefort 10, Abt 12, Orval, Chimay and Allagash Curieux headed my way to be cellar'd. Last time I did a comparison I found I preferred Pannepot to the rest but honestly it does feel like a crapshoot if you don't like or drink quads a lot.

But in reality, their beer isn't that great. It lacks in many areas and they need to stop hyping their piece of shit "Enjoy by whatever" beers because people buy into that fad when they are really just using the appeal of "limited edition" in beer.

Other than that though, their beers are ok. Always the starter/intro to the craft beer world.

God it's so good. It's like tangy rasberry soda. The peach and apple ones are delicious too and you can drink a whole bunch without getting too buzzed due to the low alchohol content. If there ever was quintessential dessert beer, these would be it.

Actually I should also clarify that I did a couple of days ago try their tenth anniversary Ruination the "Ruinten" limited release that they just came out with.

It was surprisingly good! It was an incredibly hoppy beer (surprise surprise) but they somehow muted the strong bitterness that I usually associate with their IPAs. All you got was a malty start with a clean hoppy finish. If you can find a bottle of it, I would strongly recommend it, and that's coming from a guy who doesn't really care for practically most of their offerings.

Magic Hat brewing company, based out of Vermont. Lots of places in the Northeast have their stuff on tap; usually #9 or Circus Boy. They seem to specialize in pale ales, and carry some unique brews. Definitely worth a taste if you ever have a chance.

Generally speaking anything with lots of Citra hops will have more citrusy/fruit/bitter notes than with other hops, with simcoe I'm not sure what their major notes are, but I'm sure it'll come out ok.

Their Sauvin Brut is so damn delicious. If you ever wanted a champagne equivalent of beer, this is literally it. Really nice sweet dry bubbly finish, just wish it wasn't so damn expensive.

Honestly, anything by Rahr & Sons and Real Ale brewing companies I have not been disappointing. I am not saying they are the best, but reliable products in any category. Stone brewery overall I would say is my favorite from them is their sublimely self-righteous ale
