I came across this beer that was highly recommended by one of the beer hipsters at my favorite local liquor store. He wasn't my go-to guy, but he liked a lot of the beers I did, so I gave it a try.

100% Brett is 100% crap. The beer had no noticeable characteristics that would consider it an IPA. With that much brett the beer tasted like a wet hay cheesy imbalanced liquid. I don't mind Brett at all, and in fact, it can be used really well (like in Anchorage's Galaxy White IPA) but holy fuck this beer was one note and entirely underwhelming.

When is this stupid fucking brett craze going to end /ck/? WHEN?

Evil Twin Brewing is owned and brewed by the brother of the guy who owns and brews for Mikkeller so his beers are available everywhere, it doesn't matter where I'm from. He's also a "gypsy brewer" and a total fucking beer hipster.

In any case IPA's, while overdone, are a great style and when done well are a great summer session beer. It also makes me laugh that you're making fun of IPA's while you post a picture of THE most overrated beer style today.
