What is your favorite ingredient?

>> No.4408815

Fresh garlic.
I use it in nearly everything I cook.
Pasta, chicken, ramen, breads, pizza, fish, pork.. even frozen dinners get the garlic treatment.
My breath probably smells like shit, but goddamn if my heart isn't healthy as a mule.

Same here, but since anon already posted this, I'll say balsamic vinegar. Most foods benefit from a slight acidic note, meat in particular gains a very nice flavour from it.

At least it's not just me, tarragon stuffed inside a chicken, pushed between the skin and the breast and then draped all over it, roast it. Use leftover liquids for god mode grazy, most delicious chicken ever.

The ingredient I use the most is garlic, followed by onions which I add to like 90% of everything I cook. But if it comes to favorite ingredient, that's much more difficult to say, avocados or sambal oelek, but probably crushed tomatoes because they're so versatile.
