Hey /ck/

I got this tandoori seasoning stuff a while ago and it's really good. I'm looking at throwing some together again and I have a bit of a problem. It calls for 1/3 cup of plain yogurt to be mixed in and I don't have any right now.

Is there an alternate way I can prepare it without going to the store and getting the yogurt?

That depends on what you have in fridge/pantry. You can use sour cream, or coconut milk. You could even use a bit of oil to make a paste out of the seasoning.

I have some sour cream, that might work. I did some quick googling and read that I could also potentially use it as a dry marinade. I've never done that before, is it as simple as rubbing the seasoning onto the chicken and leaving it in the fridge?

That should work, yes.

I wouldn't do a completely dry marinade. It might end up grainy or sandy.

just use the same volume of peanut oil OP
