I recently discovered that i'm allergic to Gluten, and i'm also trying to lose weight.

What's some good low-carb (trying to stay under 20g carbs per day for keto) gluten free stuff I can make?

Fats aren't really a problem, I mostly just can't have refined sugars.

I was thinking of getting some almond flour and making all kinds of breads. Is there a site or something where I can find good low carb recipes? Most of the ones i've found and tried have really sucked.

Not really sure how low-carb this stuff is, but I love this blog. It's all gluten free.

www.forkandbeans.wordpress.com

She gives tips on gluten free flours too.

There's a reason for that. Making gluten-free bread is something of an oxymoron. The gluten is what is responsible for texture of the bread. If you try and make it "gluten free" you're making something completely different.

This. Just accept the fact that you can't eat bread. Probably after you lose weight and become healthier or whatever your "allergies" will cease. See pic for more info.

Yeah, i've heard most gluten free bread has the consistency of a sponge.

I figured if I made it fresh there might be a bit of a difference though.

I guess it makes sense though considering gluten is the latin word for glue, which is what makes bread so good.

There's some really nice looking recipes on that site, i'll try some of them out and see how it goes.

Thanks!

don't you mean the vegetable industry? Cause that's mostly what it is.

Why the fuvk do these always say fats are food. But then specify lean meats?

Fatty meats. Particularly fish. Bedt food.

ug- he posts that diet everyday in some thread or another. Please don't get into with that guy, he is dead set on some inane concept that everyone should eat exactly like he does. It is a foreign concept that different people have different nutritional requirements depending on their lifestyle. Please enjoy your tuna and salmon without worry. Just don't deep fry it and you will be fine.

Honestly, trying to find gluten-free bread that tastes good is near impossible. I've been doing low-carb too though. If you can wean yourself off of bread & up your protein intake, it can work pretty well and you'll feel full. Cauliflower is surprisingly useful in recipes, and make a great sub for pizza crust or mashed potatoes. Good luck man, gluten allergies suck.
