Constitutes a tasty and hearty meal that actually fills you up, while cereal just leaves you feeling empty and unsatiated
Versatile as shit. Add anything from cinnamon and raisins to peanut butter and banana
May take a while to cook, but you can cook a giant batch at the beginning of the week and heat up what you want to eat in the morning. And it's one of those foods that actually seems to improve when its a leftover.

It is pretty good with natural honey as well. Cook's Illustrated had good article on bow to make the perfect oatmeal a few issues back. If I remember it said to cook the oatz in a skillet first.
