I love white people tacos.

>> No.4332286

That looks about right! Make them bland, and full of refined ingredients that will give you intestinal cramps.
Its still better then "authentic"

because the definition of mexican food for your average american is tex-mex. i'm not saying it's a bad thing, i love tex-mex, but it's a pretty far cry from actual mexican food.

Why? I don't understand.

Why do you even come to this board if you hate food and cooking? It's like going to /tv/ and unironically posting about how awesome Manos: The Hands of Fate is.

Fun Fact:
Pre-shredded cheese is coated in flour or cornstarch so it won't stick together.

When you melt it, this coating doesn't go away and can leave an "off-taste".

I wont dis canned salsa but white people can shred some cheese.

don't forget iceberg salad, cucumbers, corn, tomoatoes and the essential jalapeño.

Also no beans what so ever. They are not included in white taco. Sour cream is, however. Just make sure you add some garlic to it. Otherwise it's not essential.

Kraft cheese and Pace salsa suck ass. Newman's Own salsa is better if you must buy plebeian canned shit. Also buy some fucking spices and do it yourself rather than use those shitty packets. Buy MSG or glutamate-rich mushroom stock if you need to approximate the shitty packets.
Those spice mixes aren't hard to figure out... usually a combination of garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, lime and possibly a bit of mustard powder.

Meh...generic "white people" tacos aren't terrible. You eat what you can afford, or what you like. Ain't nobody's business but your own.
That said, I'd rather eat a good lengua or adobada taco. But hey, use what you've got, eat what's available, fucking Mexicans understand that principle.

>> No.4332687

My friend is the king of white people tacos.

Deep fried flour tortilla, put a bunch of beef with the taco seasonings in it, cover that shit in knudsens sour cream, top it off with a slice of American cheese. I'm a Mexican guy that actually likes white people tacos, since my dad is white and I get to try both those and the authentic stuff, but my friend's take on it is an abomination.

flour tortilla
grilled chicken
spinach/lettuce
bbq sauce
white cheddar slices

wouldn't call it a taco; probably more like a fajita, but I wouldn't call it that either. I just refer to it as a BBQ wrap, but its all I fucking eat at the weekends
