Finally, I can eat a burger without worrying about the filthiness of the cook that made it.

This is burnt. The OP burger is toasted. A bit too much for my taste, but still not burnt.

If you can see white bun through the burned parts, that's toasted. Solid black, or toasted halfway up the sides of the bun is burnt.

Quit defending that devil machine who can't even do what a cheap-ass toaster can.

>> No.4210042

It's really just a matter of time until every McDonald's turns into this. They'll have a few mechanics that work shifts to keep it operational, but even eventually they will be replaced.

I imagine it will be more like Sonic where you park and order your food. You can use a touchscreen or do it from your smart phone by connecting to their WiFi. The food comes out through a pneumatic tube like at the bank, but gentler.

I've worked at McDonald's and you can tell they are already thinking about this . They have caulking guns so you dispense the exact same amount of condiment for every sandwich. The toaster is just a vertical conveyor belt so it's impossible to burn the sandwich save for it malfunctioning. Even the french fry baskets are filled automatically from above. The cashiers don't even count change anymore. It dispenses like a self-checkout machine.

That just means burger flippers can finally get a real job and contribute to society.

Frozen fries go into the white container. Basket goes underneath. Push the button and it weighs out a perfect basket of french fries. Carry to the grease and drop them in.

>> No.4210069

>>4210061
well, i guess it's less wasteful that way. at pizza hut all the fries and wings are portioned manually in store into bags. They're not weighed or anything, you just do it by sight.

Seconded. I've worked in all kinds of restaurants from fast food to fine dining, and you will find far safer environments and practices in the fast food restaurants. Generally, everyone wears gloves, hairnets or hats, greater division of labor means practically zero cross contamination, better staffed and equipped (believe it or not)...the list goes on and on.
