Is this drink sour?

I've thought about trying it but I once by mistake drank tonic water by itself. Which tasted awful and i'm hesitant in trying drinks mixed with it

Damn it. The cocktail bit is what seals the deal. As far as refreshing alcohol goes, I really love a cold sour ale on a hot summer day. Petrus is like the lemonade of beers.

Gin & tonic was the first drink I had on my 21st birthday--I liked it. Simple, smooth, pine-y. I haven't had another since, but I can't think of anything else that's really comparable.

Martini, extra dry.

Gin and tonic is sort of an acquired taste, but once it clicks, it is probably the best cocktail. Simple, refreshing and there are a fuckton of different gins and tonic to experiment with. I like Brockman's or G'vine with Fever tree.

Any cocktail ever that doesn't contain gin.

the problem is that most bars use fake HFCS shit tonic flavored soda from a squirt gun, I have only been to one place that actually opened a bottle of tonic for each cocktail and that was surprisingly at chilis, and I am pretty sure it was just that one specific bartender that cared about standards because I have ordered them since then and they taste shitty.

i worked as a bar tender for a different chain restaurant, and we did the same thing. tonic was in little glass bottles.

Quinine is still used as a last resort. They don't like to use it because it can have very serious adverse effects.

The amount of quinine in tonic water these days is absolutely pitiful though. You'd need to drink a dozen or so bottles each day to get any effect.

Hendricks tonic is already infused with cucumber and you can definitely taste it, but the slice of cucumber really adds a nice extra bit of fresh flavour too it.

Also if you cant clearly taste cucumber you have shit taste buds and dont belong on a cooking. board

I love G&T but I find Mt Gay rum mixed with tonic water and a slice of lime equally refreshing.

What's the most bitter tonic on the market? Most are too sweet, and taste like slightly bitter Sprite, whereas I'm looking for face-twistingly bitter tonic.

So far, Schweppes has been the best I've tried, but there must surely be better?

Q tonic and Fever Tree are both excellent tonic waters. Fever Tree is probably going to be more concentrated in terms of flavor and fizz.
