Drinking my first IPA ever. Why is this so damn fruity?
It's making me feel a bit sick. Don't mind the bitterness though.

this happened to me cause I went to a place called Rubys Pantry in my town. its 15 bucks and you get a shitload of food. we bought 2 shares, so 30 bucks for like 200 bucks groceries. anyway the bread we got like 8 things of bread like not loafs french bread, round bread, wheat bread. so we made them into bread crumbs for meatballs, meatloafs etc etc and then we froze them

2 litres of Cravendale semi skimmed milk.

As for the bread concerns I'd probably make bread and butter pudding. Or hell, just butter and eat it all with some fine-ass quality milk.

It's 11 am. I'm debating drinking half a bottle of red wine I opened 2 days ago before it turns to vinegar. It's that or go to the shops to find ingredients for a red wine reduction. Shopping on a cold Christmas Eve seems to be losing out.

Finishing off my homemade cider.

It's not bad. Not exactly good either, but palatable. Surprised by how well it turned out. Just apple juice + 3 cups of sugar + dry active yeast. It even carbonated, which I wasn't expecting seeing as I didn't bottle it or anything.

>> No.4097047

>>4097015

I've heard from some people that it's okay in Europe, but in the US it's dreadful. It tastes like the typical cheap American lagers that the rest of the world looks down upon. If you go to a bar you'll notice it's the favorite beer of douchebags and attention whores.

That's why their American marketing strategy is to show that it's a trendy cool beer to be seen with, but you never hear about the ingredients or brewing process or any other aspect that would be of interest to someone who is interested in drinking a quality beer.

It's OK but generally not worth it over, say, Budweiser. The quality is much better, though. Nicer buzz than with Bud, for sure.

It's on special this week, at a price competitive with the domestics, so.

hoegaarden is ok, but its way too light and simple in taste for me too drink it often. very refreshening on a hot summer day though. makes a good "boiler" with some jenever. Tip: put the glass in the freezer, this shit needs to be COLD

>> No.4097427

I just picked up the last 4-pack of Narwhal from the market and I am stoked.

I will be cracking one open tonight (along with a Celebration at some point), or tomorrow around noon. Would a Duvel glass do this beer justice? It's 10.2% ABV.

Sipping on some Booker's Cask Strength, batch C04-J-19, aged 7 years 11 months (they very age by release, between 6-8 years), 127.3 proof.

It's intense, but so much of the intensity is good that it doesn't do it any favors watering it down. I was really surprised by the fact that it isn't very boozy tasting at all. Also, probably the best barrel char note I've ever tasted in a whiskey. It'd be blasphemy, but this stuff would make the best BBQ sauce known to mankind.
