Do you guys ever meet people or know people who are food idiots?
My elder sister for example, Didn't know that meat was the muscle of an animal and has since turned vego.
It's like, "you're 30 what the fuck did you think you were eating?"

Or my friend "all white meat is girl meat and all red meat is guy meat"
Meaning girls only eat white meat.
wtf?

People who don't even know how to make a cheese sauce..

I swear it drives me crazy

Did you ever get an answer for what she thought meat was?

People's disconnect from their food is tragic. Everyone should slaughter or take apart an animal themselves at least once, just so you know where it comes from.

My sister will cook a bunch of chicken in the oven and then leave the pan sit out to cool off, scrape everything out and wash it out.

What the fuck is wrong with this bitch.

Really? That's your argument? That somehow makes it ok?

You're fine losing a race as long as you don't come in dead last?

It's like a fat girl calling another girl fat because the second one is a couple kilos fatter than the first.

>> No.4084324

>>4084311
It isn't an argument, and I'm not even from New Zealand.

But yes, a 10% higher obesity rate would have significant socio-economic effects.

>> No.4084413

Well it's true, to some extent.

Females prefer white meat and males usually end up eating the red meat because it's tougher. A very manly thing to do.

Hard to find a man, these days but I think I found one.

White meat is usually easier to digest, more tender, less flavorful. It's feminine.

Cheese sauces are rather counterintuitive and fairly easy to mess-up.

Because you don't know where the mesenteric artery is I should think you're a complete n3wb?

I once had an arguement with an aquaintence over the composition of a hamburger. She asserted that it was made of ham. When I told her that is is in fact beef, she vehemently denied. "Why would they call it a hamburger if it's made from cows," she quipped.
I explained that there is a city in Germany called Hamburg from which the name hails.
She told me I made that up.
So I let her continue her ignorance.

>>4084449
What a fucking moron.

It's named a hamburger because that sort of style of ground meat was popular in Hamburg at the time.

I was making my first stock today, kind of half assed, I had no veggies, but I used dried onion, parsley, salt, and pepper along with the chicken bones.

Roommate's gf asked what I was making. She actually had no idea you could make stock. She thought you could only buy the powdered stuff that makes chicken flavored salt water.

A friend of mine had a girlfriend in high school who didn't understand why people would be vegetarian. She thought harvesting meat didn't require killing the animal--she thought it was cut off, and then it grew back, like a sheep's wool.

That's not the reason at all.
A lot of females eat white meat because
>teehee it's lean and it'll keep me under x calories so I won't gain 50 pounds!

Many girls I talk to don't eat the darker meat because it tends to be greasier, fattier, have viens, or still have a lot of cartilage/skin.

My mother insists on leaving cooked meat on the counter after dinner. She believes that, since it is cooked, there is no danger of spoilage. She'll typically leave it on the counter overnight.

But she does cover it with paper towels to keep the dust off.
