is there a good way to make hot wings in an oven?

if so, share it

>> No.3859587

broiling them would work i think
i broiled some wings once and they were pretty crispy as if they were fried. maybe it was burnt spices though. never tried broiling naked wings.

>> No.3859618

pan it with flour and any species you want
30 mins in oven or something and it'll be pretty good
dont got any 400+ degrees ovens here in russia, so the time might depends

Looking to make chicken wings here as well. Instead of baking them I will be frying. Problem is I have no deep fryer. Will a sauce pan work? Also should I add anything to the flour when I coat the chicken (or add something to the chicken itself)?

no, broiling will burn the outside before the bone gets hot enough to cook the center.

>>3859618
only queerbaits that don't know how to cook wings use any kind of breading on a hot wing.

OP, please trust me on this, I've been playing around with this shit for a while.
Steam your chicken wings for about 10 to 15 minutes, rest until room temperature, then put in a preheated 450 F oven for another 6-9 min. The wings should be juicy on the inside, but have enough of a crust to hold a sauce.

On an unrelated note, A true AMERICA STRONG hot wing sauce should be AT LEAST 1:1 butter to frank
s red hot/ texas pete or equivalent.

franks is weak as fuck you pussy.

It's not like franks is even some crazy secret recipie. It's mostly just vinegar, garlic, and cayenne.

It's also mediocre as fuck.

And my point was that you can make pretty much the same thing for a fraction of the cost in very little time.

if OP wanted to make his own wing sauce, he'd probably have his technique for deep-frying at home down pat. Since OP is asking for a wing recipe that works in an oven, I'm just going to venture a guess that OP doesn't want to do a whole lot of extra tasks just for a MUCHO MUCHO AUTHENTICO hot wing. I'm just trying to share the quickest and most effective means to an end.

Also,
>implying your on-the-fly improv of what a wing sauce should be will hold any comparison to what 80% of restaurants use.

If I had to pick a premade sauce, I'd pick Tri-Pepper Fancy Hot Sauce over Frank's any day of the week.

That shit is solid.
