If you're puking or shitting blood, run to the ER (srs).

Otherwise, take some Pepto and ride it out.

Drink booze and eat burnt toast.

Antiseptic properties in booze, and charcoal filtration in toast.

Man this shit sucks.
How long does it normally last?

It's not really that end so much as the other. I'm puking like something out of The Exorcist. It's green (thanks avocados). Sorry if tmi.
One more question: I know I should drink liquids, but they just come right back up. Am I going to died?

suck on ice chips, you will absorb water sublingually

or alternatively, shove a turkey baster with water up your ass and absorb it that way.

As others have mentioned if you're still puking, try to take some over the counter anti-diarheal medication. Pepto bismol, Immodium-AD something like that. Keep attempting to drink gentle liquids like Pedialyte if there's a pharmacy nearby, things like gatorade, water or herbal tea. If you keep puking even after all of this and it doesn't let up for several hours, you should consider heading to the ER so they can get some IV fluids into you. The most important thing right now is to replace lost fluids and nutrients that your body is venting out.

Try also eating toast or white rice to try and get some calories in if you can.

If its truly food poisoning, I wouldn't suggest taking anything like an anti-diarrheal. They're good for things like Traveler's diarrhea that's only caused by stress, but when your diarrhea is caused by a legitimate illness the last thing you want to do is stop up your plumbing, so to speak. Diarrhea is one of our body's first defense systems, and your bowels are getting purged because they need to be. I know its uncomfortable, but it's best to just ride it out.

I don't know how feasible it is to get guava, or guava paste in your area, but while I was staying in Mexico it was offered to me when my stomach got upset. It doesn't bring things to a grinding halt, but, it helps soothe your stomach and take the edge off constant diarrhea. If you can get some, try eating a tiny bit at a time to see if you can keep it down. It truly helps.

It's times like these (also after eating habaneros or am constipated) that I'm glad I have an extendable bidet attachment on my toilet.

Other than having to go every hour or so, the last time I had diarrhea wasn't too bad.

>> No.3859506

All you can do is wait it out, and drink lots, and lots of water.

I mean like.. a fuck ton of water.

When you throw up, you don't want to be dry heaving.
Thats the worst shit ever.

Also, try to nibble on a little something
A light sandwich or a few chips here and there
You won't feel like eating during the next couple days, but your body will still need food

You'll get through this
your body just needs time, fluids, and plenty of sleep

I had food poisoning once with my first fast food pizza ever.
I could barely walk to the toilet 20ft away without having to rest or I'd black out. I couldn't retain water for longer than half an hour (it literally came out of my ass clearer than spring water).
Eventually I was taken to the hospital by my boss because I hadn't shown or called work in 5 days and I had drips and shit.

TL;DR
If you're not dying, you just have a sore tummy.

>> No.3862025

oh god that feel of sitting on the toilet shitting out water while dry heaving and crying a little bit just wishing for the release of death

last time I had food poisoning I was down for over a week, laying in bed every night depserately wishing i could fall asleep instead of getting up every 15 minutes to puke

bus stop pies, only once

Bismuth subsalicylate binds and neutralizes toxins produced by bacteria such as E. Coli and kills them too, so theoretically it would help to reduce the duration of the poisoning.

> get food poisoning at a robotics competition
> wander around and find a backroom full of equipment, chairs, and a trash can
> pass out on a bed made of chairs and throw up every 5 minutes
> for the next few hours

Worst fucking day, never eat from hot dog vendors in new york.
