Yo. Tea faggots.
Post your collection.
Right now my favourites are the green tea with jasmine (Grand Jasmine Chun Feng from Palais Des Thés), and the Queen's Jubilee blend (from Harrod's).

I dont care for tea, but the other day one of my friends insisted that i tasted an "expensive tea".
He said i should take a sip and guess.
I sniff it, it smells like old hay.
I taste it, it tastes like old hay.
I say, "hay".
He claims it was liquorice root.

I have never tasted liquorice root, but now i can only assume that it tastes like fucking hay.

Ugh... I'm running low on my tea collection now. Very sad when I went to the store to find refills, to find out my very favorite was discontinued.. Why would they do this to me!? Pic related.

I got some genmaicha, black tea with tangerine, gui hua niu nai wulong cha, and Kirkland Signature brand matcha green tea blend.

I don't have anything right now except some crappy looseleaf black tea from Peet's Coffee. Just moved, which is why I'm out. Gonna pick some up pretty soon though. Drinking a cup of lapsong souchong I got at a shop right now, and it's pretty good.

I'm curious, how well known is mate outside Latin America.

Where are you from and have you ever had it? There is a hot, cold and one that is toasted before brew.

I have no pictures but I've got some Milk Oolong, Genmaicha, some chai I forget the name of, and a green tea called Emperor's Clouds and Mist.

I got it cause the name sounded cool.

generally speaking, no.
there was a black tea that i bought that was not too good, had to put some honey in that. as well as a coconut black loose leaf... that was good, but tasted better with honey.

The jasmine is unpleasant. But a nice container.
The Sleepytime Extra and Peppermint both have to be put in high cabinets because my cats love the smell and taste, and will mutilate the box until they get a bag ripped open to roll around in.

Into Oolongs at the moment.
Green: Genmaicha, matcha, green tea with vanilla, tea/fruit blends with mango, strawberry etc. My personal favorite is a plain green called Emperors Gunpowder.
Black: Earl Grey, Early Grey with strawberry's, black mango tea, amaretto.
Oolong: Sumatra highland chan-chan, milk oolong, creamy nut oolong, tie guan yin.
White: Bai Cui Mei, white pear
Herb (parents tea)- peach, raspberry, blueberry, swampwater.
Misc - birthday cake tea, was my sister's and she forgot it in our cupboard. Tastes overly sweet and disgusting. She also has one with whole jellybeans in it.

Had one called Jumpy Monkey with coffee beans and cocoa nibs, was like drinking weak coffee, but it had more kick.

>> No.3717813

>>3717812
Where did you get it? I usually order my tea online and the few sites I know of have either no pu'erh or only a few varieties.

>> No.3717823

>>3717813
Oops, the Jumpy Monkey was actually a mate, kind of close to pu'erh.
David's Tea has quite a selection of interesting flavors of pu'erh. Teaopia doesn't carry that kind, but they do have mate.

virtually all of my tea comes from Mariage Freres or Harney & Sons and it's basically all in and around the categories of second flush Darjeeling, Assam, and Ceylon.

Known about it for a long time, but never had it.

>>3717774
Rarely. I sometimes add a little honey to white tea (since white tea is very mild) or when I want to make my rooibos a little sweeter. When I offer guests tea, I usually add honey to it.
If I drink a very bitter herbal tea I might use some honey or salt to cut down on the bitterness.

>>3717807
It has a specific, more earthy, taste. An aquired taste.
It's also healthy.

Pu-erh is like the wine of the teaworld, it can get crazy expensive depending on where it's from and how old it is (the older the better).

I've been ordering these for my tea.

Nice, simple tins. They have some other tins with tighter seals, too, if that's what you're looking for.
