Beer with high alcohol content or a strong yeast strain can age for quite a bit of time. It does need a moderately cool temperature and very little light to age well, though, I have all my stuff in my basement and it works perfectly as a cellar. Air can also be a problem, hence some beers that are supposed to bottle conditioned are either wax sealed or cork sealed. But yes. Word.

It is my experience that Poulsbo isn't really a place people go, as a general rule, unless they live in or near Poulsbo.

However, Malt & Vine in Redmond, and that huge new super-liquor-emporium that just opened in Bellevue both stock their stuff. So duly noted.

Next time you're on the civilized side of the sound, check out Black Raven Brewing in Redmond. If you spill your beer it might get on my lap.

Ah, various 'hoods. Is this a circle-jerk yet?

I am in Washington and have been able to get it every year. (Aside from XXII which was only served on tap at their brewpubs) They do about 600 barrels and the keg 300 of them and bottle 300 of them. The bottles are only single "bomber" sized, 22oz bottles. So many good shops that cater to the "specialty beer" crowd will carry it.

Deschutes just started pulling it out of the kegs it was being aged in this week. It is expected to hit stores in august sometime.
