Chicagoland hot dog snob here. The best hot dogs are all beef, preferably Vienna dogs. You can prepare and eat them however you'd like, that's up to you, but I prefer either a Chicago dog or a chili cheese dog. Back when I used to live on the north side I used to go directly to the Vienna factory in Bucktown to eat in their cafeteria, shit was pretty cool, but I heard they moved to the west loop, and now they're coming back to their old building.

Chili cheese dog from Harry's in Colchester, CT. I don't like it when they do slices of cheese (or don't even melt them) instead of cheese sauce, but whatever, still tastes good.

When I was in Reykjavik (or as I say wreck yer dick) because of all the tween whores, I had the best hot dogs I've ever had. They are made of lamb meat, freedom fried onions and a sweet ketchup remoulade. The ketchup uses apples instead of glucose so it's extra they can consent'y.

I fired up the grill and made two Nathan's hot dogs with onions. Same whole scottish mustard with scotch and heinz ketchup. I made it extra healthy this time by foregoing the bun. Delicious.
