I can cook an egg in stainless or cast iron without a bit of sticking. Just make sure your pan is hot before adding the egg, use plenty of fat, and control the heat so it doesn't get too hot.

As far as I understand, teflon is non-reactive and just passes through your gut and only gets toxic if you heat it up to retarded temps. So little bits you scrape into the food shoudn't be an issue.
