This. Thats why socialism and improved public education is necessary for a country to function correctly. Although even Plato that first said the masses should be educated in philosophy later acknowledged (mentions in “Apology” ) that the masses cannot be educated.

I hope you aren't using hamburger helper as proof of your point - it's literally barely over a dollar, you can't really 'make it yourself' for much cheaper, let alone not in a reasonable time in comparison to 10 minutes.

some billionaire said the bottom 60% are pathetic and lazy. so idk. when you look at most people, they are below average. billionions wont save a loser. look at the CZ guy from Binance. no amount of billions will save him. walk through the mall and look at all the wagies there, the supermarekt when you get your food. Majority of people are pathetic. go subway during rush hour, those are all drones going to work. most people are poor and 1% of people in the world are millionaires and 60% of americans live paycheck to paycheck.

I've been making tacos with
>Ground turkey
>store brand flour tortillas
>Tostitos Queso
>7-11 brand shredded "taco cheese"
>fried jalapeno peppers
>fried onions
>tomato
>lettuce
The only downside is, if I refrigerate the queso, the overall balance is too cold, so I basically have to sit the whole taco on a different pan to heat it up some more

>> No.19993753

You could heat the queso up before hand?

Black beans and rice with an egg or two is pretty cheap and good. You can even use broth instead of water and/or powders and spices to add flavour. I use to cook white basmati rice with different spices in the water/broth and with chopped red peppers mixed in. Good stuff. You can switch eggs with whatever protein or other toppings of your choosing.

You can also eat just potatoes. This is a bit extreme but there have been days that I ate just potatoes with sriracha or whatever dressings and sauces that I had. There's even an Australian guy who ate nothing but potatoes for a year. You can look him up. Obviously this would suck but it's possible and he also lost weight doing this.

Right now I'm eating little to nothing on purpose to lose weight rn (at 173lbs atm, was 212lbs at my heaviest) so I'm avoiding carbs. If I was to go back to eating carbs to make my dollar go even further I'd be eating what I just mentioned and also instant ramen with an egg or two and some veg here and there.

Good thread, I was going to make a thread like this but you beat me to it.

Yes I could make it cheaper and healthier too. A bag of egg noodles with more than twice the amount noods as that box costs only a dollar more. If you buy your spices in bulk too (like I do) it's most definitely cheaper. Stay poor, stay mad.

Idiot.

Nothing wrong with store-brand foods, and buying the store-brand jars of sauces usually work out cheaper than making your own, so a simple meal of pasta and some tomato sauce can be made for less than £1 a meal.

Frozen meats and powered taters are generally a no-go price wise. Deep frying is one of the cheapest and most filling cooking methods there is. Cut premade frying batters with flour, that shit has a lot of salt.
Saving whatever bones from meat you can and making stock will take whatever sloppa you're relying on and improve it by MUCH percent. Use every part of the animal.
I will now bestow you with my esoteric neet wisdom, which will actually save you some dollars.
Personal "Recipes" (Random shit thrown together)
>"Survival Quesadillas"
Take either Cheesy Enchilada or Crunchy Taco hamburger helper, it doesn't matter
(Optional) Add canned mushrooms and pickled jalapenos
Follow all instructions on the box
A few shakes of cumin is essential to avoiding blandness
(Optional) Add sour cream, shredded cheese, diced baby tomatoes, chopped green onion
3 spoonfuls, smear on half of a tortilla, fold and fry to preferred amount on both sides
This will take a one day box and turn it into enough meals to last three days, depends on how fat or temperate you are. It WILL hit like a truck, very dense.
>"Shepard's Pile"
Take two potatoes, boil and mash them however, spoon or spatula is applicable. The yellow or red potatoes can have their skin left on.
Add canned green beans, corn, canned carrots, canned mushrooms (Drain water in sink first)
If you have ground beef you can add, but at this point you might as well make actual shepard's pie, chicken also applicable (just cook these normally and shred)
(Optional) Cheese, a 1/4th cup of milk, french fried onions
2 tablespoons of butter
Heat it up on low for maybe five minutes, add salt + pepper

Poor fags are poor partly because of their spending habits. I grew up poor, and my family bought a lot of boxed, canned and processed shit despite fresh being cheaper but requiring a little more than boiling your side to completion. Poor friends were and still are the same.

Spaghetti for example will be the cheapest pasta they can buy and a jar of Ragu "to save money". Yes, making your own sauce is cheaper. Yes, it is better. Yes, it's mostly an automatic process and takes a few hours to make more sauce than you can make in a year for very little money relative to volume and quality. No, they will not make it instead of buying that 3-4 dollar jar of shitty Ragu time and time again.
